to wonder why Sainsburys is no longer selling frozen chopped onions?

I tried cutting my own and storing them in bags... it was not a rewarding task AND all my ice-cream tasted of onion after a few days >.<

WHYYYYY SAINSBURY'S?! Or is it just Norwich that is evil? I can't find it on the online system or in the store...

SantasComingFace , I guess the precut veg needs to be frozen right after they have been sliced to retain their nutrients.

For the amount of onions I use...they're my favourite veg, I could never buy little frozen bags. They are also cut far too fine for me. I like big chunks!
I buy a big sack and store them in my shed. Yum!

Thanks to this thread I bought some chopped frozen onions (from Sainsburys) and added them to my freezer.

I am not a mad onion fiend and hate chopping the blighters, but they are useful so I'm pleased to be spared the eye-watering.

My store location does not start with N though

If anyone has a macro near them they sell frozen onion in larger chunkier slices (like the size you would need for a BBQ) which came in very handy when I invited about 50 people over for a BBQ. I have an eye condition which makes my eyes water constantly so any irritant is a problem

Frozen onions have made a return the freezer cabinet of our Sainsbury's. At last!
