I tried cutting my own and storing them in bags... it was not a rewarding task AND all my ice-cream tasted of onion after a few days >.<

WHYYYYY SAINSBURY'S?! Or is it just Norwich that is evil? I can't find it on the online system or in the store...

They sell them in Iceland

WelshMaenad · 07/11/2012 21:08

They still have them in my store.

TastesLikePanda · 07/11/2012 21:09

My nearest sainsburys have stopped selling their 'Basics' range chocolate which was awesome for baking with and cost about 30p for a 100g bar

bastards

Why?!

PhyllisDoris · 07/11/2012 21:09

Why on earth would you want to buy frozen chopped onions?

Chubfuddler · 07/11/2012 21:10

Motrisons sell them. 2 quid for a massive bag.

Chubfuddler · 07/11/2012 21:10

Because they're already chopped and don't go off

Softlysoftly · 07/11/2012 21:10

Omg nooooooooooooooo Shock

You cannot be serious?

Softlysoftly · 07/11/2012 21:12

Phyliss because DH and DD are curry hounds and every base sauce needs mounds of chopped onions and quite frankly I have better things to do with my life MN

WhereYouLeftIt · 07/11/2012 21:12

My Sainsbury's still has them. And M&S do them too.

Dawndonna · 07/11/2012 21:12

Pound Lane had them on Saturday. I noticed because I was saying that they make everything smell of onion.

Choufleur · 07/11/2012 21:13

I don't have a minute.

Can you explain the down side of frozen chopped onions?

cheekydevil · 07/11/2012 21:18

Where do you get the mushrooms from mrsdevere ? Asda do onions but can't remember where I used to buy mushrooms from.

noisytoys · 07/11/2012 21:18

Frozen onions are slimy just like frozen mushrooms eeewwww

Meglet · 07/11/2012 21:18

tasteslikepanda they've stopped the basics chocolate? I always used that for cooking!

MissFenella · 07/11/2012 21:18

I am a convert too. If you are cooking with them what's the big fuss?

RuleBritannia · 07/11/2012 21:19

Well, it's not just Sainsbury's. It's Asda as well. I used to buy Moscatel there for myself £3 something a bottle and it's no longer there. I asked where it was and the helpful youth said they don't 'do' it any more because there's insufficient not enough demand. So what was I doing there?

I wouldn't buy chopped onions though. I can do them myself.

Oh, and those smiley face biscuits were impossible to find anywhere until I found Asda's own brand (not called smiley faces though).

Chubfuddler · 07/11/2012 21:20

I can chop an onion. I can just think of better things to do.

FishfingersAreOK · 07/11/2012 21:21

I love them too - especially for when you only want a little bit of onion - perfect to be able to just grab a small handful.

AlwaysReadyForABlether · 07/11/2012 21:22

Aldi do frozen chopped onions too
