...not to want dh to wander around half-naked?

Particularly when, by "half naked" I am referring to the bottom half?
Dh likes to wander around wearing just a t-shirt/shirt and no pants such that his "bits" are left dangling. Sometimes he even has socks on, too.
AIBU to find this borderline revolting? It reminds me of a potty-training toddler, tbh.
Background: together 20 years, married 15, two dds aged 11 and 7. DH's body is okay, albeit a bit skinny. He knows I don't like to see him walking around in his state of undress, but he thinks I am becoming prudish and that he should be able to relax in his own home and not worry about what he is wearing... Should add also that my libido is very low at the moment and seeing his undercarriage peeking out from the bottom of a t-shirt isn't helping at all.
AIBU?

get him to put bloody pants on why does he like to let it all hang out or can he not wear a dressing gown if he wants it to hand loose Hmm no YANBU

PinkFairyDust · 04/11/2012 17:09

What do your kids think?

CecilyP · 04/11/2012 17:11

I see what you mean by half naked. What is his rationale for being dressed on his top half but not his bottom half? I wouldn't like it. What if you have visitors?

Petsinmypudenda · 04/11/2012 17:11

Buy him a Long old mans night shirt that goes to his knees

TinyDancingHoofer · 04/11/2012 17:11

I think i'd prefer a full naked or full dressed man rather than what you describe so YANBU, it doesn't sound very attractive.

cavell · 04/11/2012 17:12

The older one thinks it is a bit embarassing... the younger one just giggles. They are used to his ways.

Yuck

ENormaSnob · 04/11/2012 17:13

Eww, no one wants to see a flaccid nob flapping around.

Yanbu.

Reky · 04/11/2012 17:13

You find it revolting to see your husband naked? YABU

Teeb · 04/11/2012 17:14

The 'half' nakedness is what I would find most odd I think.

ENormaSnob · 04/11/2012 17:14

I don't think it's appropriate in front of your dc either tbh.

In fact, I find it creepy.

Vix07 · 04/11/2012 17:14

YANBU. My DP's pants only come off for one reason!

And showers of course Grin

Flatbread · 04/11/2012 17:14

Cavell, that is like my dh too. But I find it cute Smile

Iggly · 04/11/2012 17:15

YANBU

Sounds grim. His kids will be scarred you do realise Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/11/2012 17:15

YANBU - it is a bit revolting.

Does he sit down? I wouldn't like the idea of a naked bottom sat on the sofa or anywhere really unless it was fresh out of the shower. Not very hygienic.

Teeb · 04/11/2012 17:15

Reky I don't think she was saying she finds her husband revolting, just to be fair anyones floppy bits&bobs hanging under a t-shirt seems quite unappealing, especially with socks on for full effect too!

JuliaScurr · 04/11/2012 17:15

Grin ENorma

MrsEddChina · 04/11/2012 17:16

I'm used to coming home to find my husband in his pants! I get annoyed as that then means I have to go tothe door if someone knocks!

Flatbread · 04/11/2012 17:16

But he only 'dresses' (or undresses?) like that around me.

Lulabellarama · 04/11/2012 17:16

Penis' are not attractive. I get why you find that a turnoff.
But, it is totally natural and is his home too so you have to lump it I'm afraid.

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/11/2012 17:17

Actually, I don't know about potty training toddlers, it sounds like something a senile old man would do, especially when he is refusing to cover up.

CecilyP · 04/11/2012 17:17

Is he, perhaps going for the Winnie the Pooh look? Although you don't actually see Winnie's bits.

BooyhooRemembering · 04/11/2012 17:17

is he doing it on purpose to cause discomfort? i find it really strange that he puts on a shirt and socks but not pants. what explanation does he give for it?

the fact that your DD is embarassed should be enough for him to stop it.

never mind the whole, bare arse crack on the sofa!

picnicbasketcase · 04/11/2012 17:17

Agree with bathrobe suggestion. No need for him to be airing his arse in full view of everyone.

cavell · 04/11/2012 17:17

The rationale is that sometimes he needs a t-shirt (or whatever) for warmth. But that nakedness in general is more comfortable...
So this isn't something that most men do (as he likes to claim?)
