Novac do you think for one moment that it is ok for a young boy to offer to stick his dick up the backside of a 76 year old widow, because if you do you are a very odd person indeed Hmm

OP posts:
RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 16:27

I do not feel it is a waste of police time and obviously nor do the police as they are going to talk to him.

I would not have involved the police for a stupid comment, but this is something vile and the police feel so to

OP posts:
DublinMammy · 29/05/2012 16:30

Oh well. I think you are an idiot, Novac. Not that you'll be bothered since as you say I am entitled to put that out there.

NovackNGood · 29/05/2012 16:34

dublinmammy You are welcome to your opinion but why do you personally attack me?

pictish · 29/05/2012 16:34

It's more than a mere insult Novack - it's a threat!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 16:36

Clearly threatening. Unfair to say people who post photos "ask" to be threatened.

Good to see the police helping with the situation.

DublinMammy · 29/05/2012 16:37

Because I think what you said was idiotic Novac

minouminou · 29/05/2012 16:45

Criticising would have been reminding the OP's MIL about the rule of thirds in her photos.

What he posted was threatening and abusive.

RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 16:53

The lovely police lady said if the boy started on DS1 to call her and report it.

OP posts:
RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 16:54

Novac surly Dublinmammy is just commenting on something you made public on the internet is she not, just as you said vile boy was doing to MIL [HMM] [HMM]

OP posts:
JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 29/05/2012 17:01

It's not an insult it's a threat, Novak you twat*

  • now that's an insult.
AuntyJ · 29/05/2012 17:04

Novak - I do not accept a sexually abusive response of this boy is an 'inane rambling'.

NovackNGood · 29/05/2012 17:06

Resorting to name calling is childish. Which curiously is part of what your original post was about. Notice I'm not invoking section 5 of the public order act for insulting speech towards me.

Of course if the boy approaches your MIL and he is not in a contrite apologetic manner she should call the police. Harassment should not be tolerated.

Curiously if a preacher in church on says homosexuality is wrong he too is breaking section 5 of the public order act. Should the police investigate and arrest all them as well or do we need that word 'insult' to be taken out of the law and allow free speech even if we find we hear a little insult now and again.

We have laws against discrimination and racial hatred etc. But using section 5 to police free speech is in many peoples and MP's opinion going too far and curiously is one of the few areas of agreement between humanist and christians, libertarians and republicans etc. etc.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 17:07

And I dont accept that if you post/put photos on the internet you should expect this type of problem.

Maybe getting called and Idiot and a Twat, yes, but nothing of this nature.

EduStudent · 29/05/2012 17:08

Novac So threatening to anally rape an elderly lady isn't a personal attack?

I'm glad the Police seem to have a different opinion. The world's changing and the law has to adapt to an increasingly online world.

EldritchCleavage · 29/05/2012 17:11

Hypothetically speaking you take this to court and the youths lawyer then attempts to prove that MIL does have saggy tits and is then asking her about the last time she had sex. You really want this pursued that much since I don't think any policewoman can force an apology.

I don't understand this. If he were prosecuted, it would be under the Malicious Communications Act, to which truth is not a defence. There is absolutely no prospect of anyone seeking to 'prove' that the OP's MIL has saggy tits or to explore her sex life, and doing so would provide a defence. How strange.

EldritchCleavage · 29/05/2012 17:12

Sorry, would not provide a defence.

RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 17:24

As my FIL passed away 10 years ago I do not think MIL has a sex life she lives alone, Also I do not think MIL did anything wrong what so ever at all.

If a child thinks this is an appropriate thing to say to any one be it in the street or on line then I think there is something very wrong with that child.

The part of it I was most disturbed by was the offer to "stick his dick up her arse until she loved him"
That is a vile thing to say to anyone.
Anyway the police are dealing with it, the boy will not get away with it.
DS1 has arrived home and said the boy walked past him and punched him in the back today, DS1 (despite being big enough to batter seven shades of shit out of the little cunt) walked off as he feels the boy is not worth the bother. I shall inform the police woman of this and the school.

I should think the vile boy will be more pissed off tomorrow as his mother now knows so I wonder what she will be saying to him this evening

OP posts:
NovackNGood · 29/05/2012 17:30

I suppose so if it is 'grossly offensive' but that will no doubt be decided if it goes that far.

Criminalising immature youths seems rather overkill to me but then the UK loves to have the youth criminalised with just about the lowest age of criminal responsibility in the civilised world. In Sweden he'd need to be 18 or in Spain 16 but in the UK once you reach 10 we just love to throw the book at them.

NovackNGood · 29/05/2012 17:32

Personally I wouldn't let the assault lie though that is far more serious than internet tripe.

pictish · 29/05/2012 17:34

Well....if this were my son, I'd be deeply upset and perturbed, and would wish for him to be scared out of his wits to deter a repeat performance.
The stupid, offensive little weirdo needs brought into line.

RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 17:34

He is not being Criminalised FFS the police are going to speak with him, point out the error of his ways, not frog march him to a cell and lock him away for years

OP posts:
RabidAnchovy · 29/05/2012 17:35

I shall be reporting him punching DS1 do not worry about that at.

OP posts:
NovackNGood · 29/05/2012 17:39

You do not know nor do you have any choice in what action the police take after you report a crime. This is not america where you chose to 'press charges'. Indeed refusal to cooperate could be held against you if action goes ahead.

Incidentally you do know calling the child the c word is also covered by the same law. Was it not that word being used that lead to action being taken against that bloke who tweeted about the councillor?

surroundedbyblondes · 29/05/2012 17:41

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm speachless about this and that some people seem to think that you are overreacting. I'm not advocating locking this vile boy up, but surely something needs to be done so that he understands that this is grossly offensive.
