Poor effort, OP. 1 out of 10.

Shutupanddrive · 15/03/2012 08:06

NorfolkNChance · 15/03/2012 08:06

Yes. Who would you recommend handle my claim?

And how do you prove your poor health was caused by lack of breastfeeding Hmm

Richocet · 15/03/2012 08:09

Your at more of a risk if your not bf though?

Like smoking, it's not guaranteed you'll get cancer, but it's more likely

I plan on suing my children for the damage they caused my body during pregnancy and childbirth.

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 08:09

Taking TBE's point, maybe your mum should be able to sue you as well if she can prove you had a negative impact on her mental health. All us kids would be broke!

SaraSidle · 15/03/2012 08:10

Can we sue our parents if they smoked ' around' us back in our childhoods then?

Richocet · 15/03/2012 08:11

SoupDragon- having children was your choice. A baby doesn't choose which way to be fed. If it did, what d'ya reckon it would choose?

What a load of bollocks threads there are on MN this morning Confused

podgymum · 15/03/2012 08:12

Have you got children Richocet?

SoupDragon · 15/03/2012 08:13

I didn't choose for them to be huge, they did all the growing themselves.

Richocet · 15/03/2012 08:14

Only of you're prepared for your own DCs to sue you for:
Working/not working
Feeding them junk/restricting social opportunities by limiting access to junk food
Too much/too little discipline
Exposing them to too much/too little UV light
Limiting life chances by either not allowing enough time for homework or not allowing enough time for socialising.
Allowing them too much/too little sleep

OP, parenting is about choices, you can't sue people for choices if they weren't directly harmful, breastfeeding and bottle feeding both provide adequate nutrition for babies, any benefits of breastfeeding are statistical and choosing not to breastfeed is not a harmful decision (and I say this as someone who chose to breastfeed).

HSMM · 15/03/2012 08:15

I was breast fed but still had allergies. Can I sue my dad instead? I think I had lead paint on my toys too.

SoupDragon · 15/03/2012 08:15

I shall also be suing DS2 for the damage his attitude has caused to my mental health and well being.

crowface · 15/03/2012 08:16

What about mums that can't breast feed. Tad unfair don't you think?

HugADalek · 15/03/2012 08:16

PSML. What a stupid idea. Do we also get to sue if we inherit diseases? Or catch a childhood illness and suffer consequences? Or need therapy because of our parents lack of perfection causing our neurosis? Or because we banged our tooth on their watch and now must live forever with a dead yellow tooth in the front of our mouth looking sad next to all the white ones (waaaaaaaaaaah [hmmm])?
