perhaps her mum didn't breastfeed

HugADalek · 15/03/2012 08:18

Sorry, my typing skills suck today because of my cold arthritic hands. Wonder if I can sue my parents for that, I mean it must be genetic or something.

What about mums who, like me, couldn't breast feed as we had complications at birth and were out of it for the first two weeks?

I would say there are far more important things children should sue parents for, like the ones on child protection who don't have a bed/ get fed/feel safe/feel warm/live without their parents being off their heads on drugs/alcohol!

What a ridiculous statement, have a Biscuit

podgymum · 15/03/2012 08:19

I've got 2 Richocet and wasn't able to BF either - does that mean i've caused them a life in which they are probably going to get cancer?

"bf/ff seems to be the most clear cut though..."

How is it clear cut exactly?

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 08:20

I have inherited a disease from my parents (true). Should I be able to sue them for that?

HugADalek · 15/03/2012 08:21

Oooh, can I sue my child? I did end up back in hospital after collapsing following his difficult birth, with a obstructed bowel thanks to him being enormous and squishing my insides, a womb infection and anaemia thanks to haemorrhaging after his birth. I need representation. See you in court son.

TandB · 15/03/2012 08:21

I am a lawyer. Would you like me to handle a multi-party action against all our children for driving us insane?

OP why do you think no one is answering sensibly? Because it's bloody ridiculous!

McPie · 15/03/2012 08:22

Can I sue my mum for breastfeeding me?
I am over weight, wheat intollerant, dairy intollerant, suffer with IBS and am on anti depressants which are controlling my hormone rages!
Im the eldest of 5 and the only one who was breast fed and the only one who has any issues.
Not everything is so black and white!

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 08:22

kungfu - I'm in ! I have 4 children...so should be entitled to lots of money!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 15/03/2012 08:24

Dear MNHQ please can we have a nice normal site back.
yours
Hobs

TandB · 15/03/2012 08:24

I would also like to sue my mum for what is thought to have been something going wrong in the womb and leading to me having a missing foot.

I would like to sue her for the cost of buying two pairs of shoes every time as my reconstructed foot is 3 sizes smaller than the other one.

StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2012 08:25

Suing them is ridiculous. Maybe we could have a hall of shame where ff mothers, mothers who worked with pre-school aged children, mothers who fed their children chocolate, etc could all be preserved in oil paintings for eternity. It would be like a horror museum of the future. "Jane, 34, believed to have lived in the Shropshire area. DID NOT WASH ALL HER BABY CLOTHES IN NON BIO POWDER BEFORE HER DAUGHTER WAS BORN"
They could charge women double to enter, to preserve the misogynistic atmosphere.

LittleEsmeWeatherwax · 15/03/2012 08:25

Oh your poor Mum, to have such a money-grabbing delight like you.

TandB · 15/03/2012 08:26

Excellent, Lesley. Can you please draft a brief outline of the damages which you have incurred.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 15/03/2012 08:26

See DS2 was BF and FF so he's fucked!

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 08:26

Hobnobs - There are nice normal threads you know. Maybe you should go on those threads?

HugADalek · 15/03/2012 08:27

And I would like to sue my daughter for nearly four years of broken sleep. It's not doing my mental health any good at all.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 15/03/2012 08:27

Oh and I was a WOHM so he's seriously fucked.

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 08:27

kungfu - draft on the way. Not sure it will be brief though? I have had 4 after all!

RealLifeIsForWimps · 15/03/2012 08:27

I am going to sue my mum for not letting me watch Grange Hill.
