Don't know what happened there bloody phone

TandB · 15/03/2012 09:15

Tee, how old are you?

If the crying offence occurred while Nee England was still owned by the UK then we might have a case...

"Likes" Kungfu's style

When I was 7 my best friend got a Sindy swimmimg pool. You could put real water in it and everything. What great fun it was for Sindy to have a pool party, sure did result in my friends room getting a little wet, but well, thats what happens.

My awful mum absolutely refused to get me one on the basis of I would soak the place every single day. To this day I still think about the mental anguish and torture I suffered by not getting that swimming pool. My life would have been complte with that, and the Mr Frosty machine she also insisted was rubbish and refused to buy.

Do you think I could sue her for that?

I do think it might ruin my chances of getting her to babysit my children every day occasionally. And I'll probably inherit any money she has anyway (assuming she doesn't decide to blow it on world cruises)

lesley33 · 15/03/2012 09:28

Well my mum smoked when she was pregnant with me and afterwards - OMG! Kungfu - can you add that to your class action?

Mrsjay · 15/03/2012 09:36

My mum didnt let me go on a school trip abroad i was devastated maybe im traumatised and should sue , Grin I can see this thread getting sillier and sillier , on a serious note how could anybody prove a adults illness is down to not being breastfed , the funniest thing is Ricochet is being serious , ( i think Confused )

HugADalek · 15/03/2012 09:40

I think I'd like to take action against Mother Nature because even though I breastfed my DD, she ended up with asthma and eczema and allergies, and I have had to put a lot of time into taking her to appointments and on treatment, even after putting up with bleeding, cracked nipples and smelling like cheese for a year. I must be due some compensation. A refund even?

Tee2072 · 15/03/2012 09:40

Well, I'm not over 200, Kung! Darn it. [pout]

bronze · 15/03/2012 09:42

Can all Dad's be sued then because none of them breastfed their children (excpet in very recent, rare occasions)

I want to sue my daughter for sending me grey. I'll be nice though I just wants the cost of getting it dyed

Mrsjay · 15/03/2012 09:45

you smell like cheese if your breastfeed ? I think you need some sort of refund Hugadalek oopsie i just admited i didnt breastfeed, I best get saving for the suing .

ratspeaker · 15/03/2012 09:45

Taking the OP seriously here.
You do realise the consequences of such an action would be a rise in the infant mortality rate?
A mother who has a bad birth or can't establish breastfeeding or who is unable to breastfeed for some reason could then refuse to use formula as they may get sued.
Result would be an undernourished baby, more susecptible to infection, failure to thrive or possibly death through malnutrition

Mr Frosty machines were shit though, your mum had a point.

The OP sounds pure evil and I actually felt sick when I read it.

:(

Kaloobear · 15/03/2012 09:51

I should be able to sue you OP for spouting such hurtful and cruel bollocks.

D0oinMeCleanin · 15/03/2012 09:52

What bobbledunk said.

wigglesrock · 15/03/2012 09:52

I think my 13 month old may sue MN for making me unavailable to her at the precise moment she demands it and not a millisecond later .

Oh and my 4 year old is getting in line to sue the "dear Zoo" author because she has been informed by myself that if she writes to the Zoo an elephant delivery is not guaranteed. Oh I'm getting into this now, cheered me up no end. Thanks OP.

Archemedes · 15/03/2012 09:54

No, some people cant or some people dont produce enough.

Haziedoll · 15/03/2012 09:54

"thanks for answering sensibly"

If you ask a moronic question you have to expect moronic answers. Smile

ButteryBiscuitBase · 15/03/2012 09:55

And considering most kids start threatening to sue their parents when they are moody teens they would probably be repulsed and embarrassed of being bf and want to sue their parents for breastfeeding!

Mrsjay · 15/03/2012 09:56

i didnt produce enough for dd1 and none for dd2 , I have been told i shouldve hung on etc but i didnt for my ownreasons ,

cory · 15/03/2012 09:58

OP, this one could cut both ways.

My dd suffered health consequences due to my insistence on breastfeeding when she was not able to take enough milk to ensure adequate nutrition. She ended up in hospital. I know from reading the breastfeeding threads that she was not the only one.

Should she sue because I did not use formula? She could probably do with more pocket money. But then any added expenses to the family budget would have to come out of her pocket money...

frumpet · 15/03/2012 10:00

Ok i am going to take the bait , please can you link to the scientific evidence/ research that catergorically states that breast feeding prevents the child from developing any form of cancer in the future regardless of any other lifestyle factors . Should only take you a couple of minutes Wink

D0oinMeCleanin · 15/03/2012 10:01

What happens if your mum's skint?

You see I should be owed millions. She was a truely shite parent. She got pissed when she was 6 months pregnant (falling over drunk by all accounts), she smoked through pregnancy and during my childhood (even in the car with us Shock), oh yeah and that's another thing, she didn't learn to drive while we were young, so while all my friends were driving to Flamingo Land we were having picnics on the beach that we had to walk to Shock, that's got to be the worst, no? On top of that there was the lack of breastfeeding, the undiagnosed TB, the time she lost me in a caravan park, the time I was almost killed by a ferret, she wasn't there then but I'll find a way to blame her.

The problem is she's skint, so who pays me?
