To think that if you have a clock on the mantlepiece it needs to go in the middle?

Or am I being anal? My children say so. I don't think I am, but I need support from the MN jury. How could the clock go on one end? That would be wrong.

Right now it goes plant, photo frame, photo frame, CLOCK, photo frame, body sort of sculpture thing, flowers.

But clock in the middle. Yes?!

The important thing is not the clock but the part it plays in your life. E.g. while DH is at the height of husbandly activity a whispered "Pray dear, did you wind the clock?" should send both of you right over the edge.

Mine is on the end. AND at a jaunty angle.

It goes from L-R: lamp, oil burner, huge mirror, clock, vase. Except the oil burner is in front of the lamp and the (very small) clock in front of the vase.

I own a clock but I have it on the wall. mantelpieces are very outdated. ;)

we have a wall clock, a mantle clock (which is on a bookcase because we don't have a mantle- no chimneys), another wall clock, a cuckoo clock without a cuckoo, and an alarm clock.

the second wall clock actually isn't on a wall because DH is too lazy hasn't had time to put it on the wall in the study. It's on top of the bookshelf and looks a right mess
