.....to be upset and pissed off with DH's reaction over sexy dress up

homealone1 · 31/12/2011 21:18

So.....pre kids we were at it like rabbits, lots of role play, lots of dress up.

3 kids in 5 years later and it's all about poo and sleep habits.

I thought...we're staying in new year's eve so wht not make the most of it. I put all the kids to bed and came down for dinner in a school girl's outfit, fishnets and heels.....and he just laughed! I didn't feel sexy - just felt like an idiot.

We had a row over dinner about something else but no doubt triggered by how I felt about his reaction.

AIBU?

I think also that the women on here defending their DP's right to fuck them dressed up as school girls don't have DDs who are school girls in uniforms Monday to Friday, aged (say) 11-15.

abbierhodes · 31/12/2011 23:20

Yes Roman...but when it's my husband, he's remembering me as a teenager. When he was a teenager too, and sex was new and exciting and fun. Nothing wrong with that.

squeakytoy · 31/12/2011 23:21

There is a difference between fantasising that your wife was still a teenager and thinking about someone else!

Dont most of us wish we were in our late teens again, bodywise? I know I certainly do, and when I get a mental image of me and my husband, i certainly airbrush out the grey hair, the saggier bits, the signs of age.. it is about playing on a memory, not wishing it were a reality.

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 23:21

Hahahaha! Well If Wikipedia says so! I'm sure all these men are banging away full of nostalgia 'thinking back to a simpler time in their lives'.

EtInTerraPax · 31/12/2011 23:22

I think you'll find D0G was a schoolgirl a lot more recently than you were OP. I'm sure she has been on the receiving end of older men's leers, as she is very pretty, and I can understand why she would feel uncomfortable with the idea of dressing-up as a school girl in order to titilate her husband.

Dressing as a schoolgirl for sex is extremely distasteful, particularly when you have 2 young girls of your own. Is it any wonder your DH was not interested.

LittleGnu · 31/12/2011 23:22

LineRunner...you're so funny!

Talking nonsense, but still funny!

forgetmenot7 · 31/12/2011 23:24

Oh honestly , Icant believe the women on here that are saying about the dressing up in a school uniform. We as women should be able to dress up for our husbands and not have other people making condescending remarks . Good luck to this lady and its him who has the problem . Not you !!!

LittleGnu · 31/12/2011 23:25

RomanChristingle What it comes down to is that boys are usually quite sexually frustrated and teased through their school years. So when they get into adulthood, some like to take that frustration out retrospectively, with their adult partner. You won't understand that of course!

Perhaps it is because we don't generally dress in short skirts and low-cut tops. I bloody don't. I wear pj's 90% of the time that DH sees me. He isn't daft either. I don't bloody well look like a teenager no matter what I am wearing.

What is an acceptable fantasy dress-up costume I wonder? Why is dressing like, for example, a prostitute, better?

I do like pirates though. And highwaymen. I blame Adam Ant and his videos when my sexuality was burgeoning. has anyone cast Johnny Depp as a highwayman yet? They should.

abbierhodes · 31/12/2011 23:27

Linerunner...'defending their DP's right to fuck them...'...erm, no. I'm defending my right to indulge in whatever fantasy I choose.

Some of you on here are a little weird.

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 23:30

Some people's partners on here have done a good number on them I'll say that! Yes - of course they are thinking about you Hmm

As far as I know my DH doesn't have fantasties about schoolgirls and I hope that is true.

But we have have both enjoyed times using different clothes/items but that does not mean he or I want to actually have sex with whomever we may have chosen to dress or speak as. As far as I know, we are having sex with each other.

I am bi

Not really.

But I do like a spank

LittleGnu · 31/12/2011 23:31

You're absolutely right abbie. And no, Wikipedia isn't always right, but on this subject, it is.

Op-YANBU to be pissed off at dh reaction-git!

I also enjoy dress up occasionally-and yes have done the school girl thing. Nowt wrong with it between consenting adults imo.

Happy new year frothersGrin

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 23:32

You have to wonder what kind of people will have stumbled upon that page to edit it really.

abbierhodes · 31/12/2011 23:33

Roman...don't be so patronising love! Just because your sexual experiences are not good doesn't mean other people's aren't. For what it's worth, I've never discussed this with my husband, these are my own thoughts. Some of us have them, some of us read the Daily Mail. It takes all sorts.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 31/12/2011 23:35

Anyone else humming 'hit me baby one more time' by Britney Spears?
No?
Just me then.

Happy new year everyone.

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 23:38

My sexual experiences are all the better due to not being married to a pervert with a schoolgirl fetish thanks.
And I'm a fully fledged lentil weaving Guardian reader actually.

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 23:38

I was thinking more The Krankies Ferret.

Bellstar · 31/12/2011 23:39

consenting sex between two adults is perveted now....
