.....to be upset and pissed off with DH's reaction over sexy dress up

So.....pre kids we were at it like rabbits, lots of role play, lots of dress up.

3 kids in 5 years later and it's all about poo and sleep habits.

I thought...we're staying in new year's eve so wht not make the most of it. I put all the kids to bed and came down for dinner in a school girl's outfit, fishnets and heels.....and he just laughed! I didn't feel sexy - just felt like an idiot.

We had a row over dinner about something else but no doubt triggered by how I felt about his reaction.

AIBU?

i slap on some PVC if I want a fuck

ElectricSoftParade · 31/12/2011 21:46

Oh come on! A "saucy schoolgirl" is hardly the worst outfit in the world. Does NOT have to have sinister meanings.

OP hope you are feeling a bit more together.

StickingPlaster · 31/12/2011 21:46

DoMeDon - who the hell mentioned schoolCHILD? You do know that people can be in school up to the age of 18?!

DoMeDon · 31/12/2011 21:47

None I know of wear uniform at 18 - times change - it infers a child to me - makes me feel sick.

Scoundrel · 31/12/2011 21:48

Were you still wearing the outfit whilst eating dinner and arguing?

homealone1 · 31/12/2011 21:48

DoMeDon your post cheered me up massively! Long live the DM readers.

Electric and others you are very sweet and yes I'm very cosy now.

I think the fact that I had one glass of champagne before dinner and came down to find the bottle virtually empty may be relevant!

OP posts:
StickingPlaster · 31/12/2011 21:48

Correct, I think you are sick if it automatically infers paedophilia.

Your husband was wrong. If you still feel in the mood, wake him up with a blowjob

OMG I remember the day I tried that- OH was in a deep sleep, and woke up with a knee jerk reaction (literally!), which resulted in me with a bloody nose and two black eyes.
It was fun trying to explain that one!!

secretary · 31/12/2011 21:48

yanbu

Nice to see some fellow dresser-uppers on here. DP likes very much, and so do I...but curious if we stood alone in this, yet knowing there is obviously a market for it.

Have a talk about it if you can. Fair play to you for trying to put the effort in.

At the risk of sounding unpopular, I'm not surprised. School girls FFS, what's sexy about that. If a partner of mine dressed as a school boy, I'd find it sick. A fantasy about shagging a school child is quite sick. Whatever happened to buying some new lingerie and surprising him with it?

WheresMeJumper · 31/12/2011 21:51

There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel young free and single as long as you are both on the same page? For instance me and my DH are going to relax by a fire watching movies, our idea of heaven tonight . Next week we are going out and going wild!! (and fuck it I mean wild!) That is what we are in the mood for now....

It sounds like a hectic house, he was probably wrecked, ye had a fight, then you come down the stairs dressed like some Lolita type and you want him to ravish you! Just because he is a man doesnt mean he wants it, he cant switch it on and off. He probably laughed from shock. I wouldnt read too much into it, TBH

DoMeDon · 31/12/2011 21:51

Arf at DM reader - I just got a full house on my MN bingo. You said school 'girl'. i didnt mention paedo's either - it's hard having a mirror reflected back at your sad outfit then!?!

StickingPlaster · 31/12/2011 21:52

Jesus wept! Is this place full of people like A1980 and DoMeDon?!

Xmasbaby11 · 31/12/2011 21:52

ah, yanbu, he should have loved it! I'd be crushed too. It was probably one of those surprise reactions and the timing was wrong. Maybe have a chat about what he does like when the time is right.

DoMeDon · 31/12/2011 21:54

God no - if it was full of people like me - you'd be fucking - not crying over bunches and fishnets Xmas Grin

WheresMeJumper · 31/12/2011 21:54

XMASBABY Why should he have loved it?

WheresMeJumper · 31/12/2011 21:54

Arf @ DoMeDon

homealone1 · 31/12/2011 21:55

Sorry to be sentimental right now ( poosibly related to Bolly!) but this is what I love about MN, so many different opinions from a wide spectrum of the human kind.

I'm sorry I just had to say that Grin

Hi OP, you have my sympathies. Both our dch are out so I cooked a lovely dinner & dressed up (in a dress! and heels) only to find DH scoffing it, standing up in kitchen, when I'd laid a proper table with candles an all in the other room. Sad

Now he's flaked out on the sofa & I'm on here with you lot!

It's no good pinning too much onto one occasion. Best to have a chat about it & plan a 'date' night some time.

Anyway, cheers everyone! Wine

Happy New Year to you all.

Most offended at the insinuation that I'm a DM reader because I can see the inappropriate connotations of dressing like a schoolgirl for sex. If you want to dress up as an adult, go for your life, why the hell not? But actually, very few sixth formers wear uniform (largely because they're not children), hence the outfit is about girls, not women. Grim.

A1980 · 31/12/2011 21:57

People like me? If you mean people who enjoy sex just fine without stupid costumes and role playing then yes, you'll find the world is full of people like me Grin

homealone1 · 31/12/2011 21:57

Miranda I want to be ur new best friend!
