.....to be upset and pissed off with DH's reaction over sexy dress up

So.....pre kids we were at it like rabbits, lots of role play, lots of dress up.

3 kids in 5 years later and it's all about poo and sleep habits.

I thought...we're staying in new year's eve so wht not make the most of it. I put all the kids to bed and came down for dinner in a school girl's outfit, fishnets and heels.....and he just laughed! I didn't feel sexy - just felt like an idiot.

We had a row over dinner about something else but no doubt triggered by how I felt about his reaction.

AIBU?

X-post with everyone - home - that was a low blow to D0G - at least she's getting some.

RomanChristingle · 31/12/2011 22:12

If it was just about the sexy outfit then any short skirt/sexy clothes would do. If a man likes his partner to dress up as a school girl then he gets off fantasising about schoolgirls. Whether you find that ok or not is up to you I suppose.

It was nothing to do with the theme ( aka schoolgirl) ...I think more the shock of seeing me dressed up and sexy agsin. He would probably have also laughed if I came down in lingerie or a french maid.

As for DH growing out of the schoolgirl fetish...I think not judging by his taste in porn! ( but I don't want to start another thread on porn...just too boring and I enjoy it too)

Is it possible that pre children it reminded him of being a teenager but post children he has a perspective of a father?? hence the different reaction?

Chubfuddler · 31/12/2011 22:15

No I don't think there is any complexity to the issue. Being sexually excited by representations of schoolgirls is decidely nasty.

LovesBloominChristmas · 31/12/2011 22:15

Please put it in off the beaten track if you do.

ElectricSoftParade · 31/12/2011 22:24

I obviously have my thoughts on dressing up. Have done it and had a nice time Grin. Have done it and been knocked back [not so nice].

I really don't think that "dressing up" for your partner is a step too far. Unless you already have the feeling your partner is more into something than you are or is not "normal" or legal.

I just don't think every man or woman who does this is necessarily hiding certain "desires". Actually, I sincerely hope not.

homealone1 · 31/12/2011 22:25

I kissed a girl and I liked it
