.....to be upset and pissed off with DH's reaction over sexy dress up

So.....pre kids we were at it like rabbits, lots of role play, lots of dress up.

3 kids in 5 years later and it's all about poo and sleep habits.

I thought...we're staying in new year's eve so wht not make the most of it. I put all the kids to bed and came down for dinner in a school girl's outfit, fishnets and heels.....and he just laughed! I didn't feel sexy - just felt like an idiot.

We had a row over dinner about something else but no doubt triggered by how I felt about his reaction.

AIBU?

Good on you home - it's only words on a screen eh. Can I proffer this site in the spirit of New Year joy and all that Xmas Smile

Sorry OP, but if I was sitting down to my tea and out of the blue my wife walked in wearing a school girl outfit I'd probably laugh.

Let's put it this way if you were in the middle of a pile of ironing and your DH randomly walked in in a fireman's outfit (or whatever else that does it for you) would you instantly swoon with lust, or would you (more likely) consider it bizarre and a bit funny?

You need to set the mood first.

Chubfuddler · 31/12/2011 22:00

Saucy schoolgirl - ick. I'd have laughed at you too.

Actually DOG I wore a uniform until I was 18 ( grammar school and all that)

For all the posters who can't understand the uniform....I think you will find it's a fantasy for the majority of men...if you bothered to ask them.

To equate it to paedophilia is just fucked up IMO.

It's a bit like saying you would want to fuck every nurse going because you like a girl to dress up as a nurse!

Chubfuddler · 31/12/2011 22:02

So why a schoolgirl then? Seriously, it's icky.

Chubfuddler · 31/12/2011 22:03

It's not fucked up. Nurses are over 18. Fantasising about schoolgirls is vile.

MrsMicawber I think you should strikethrough the two there.

homealone1 Nothing wrong with dressing up like a schoolgirl, the people who think it's odd have odd ideas, maybe DH has started thinking the same though now he has daughters and his fantasies changed, so his laughter was from his own different way of thinking about girls. Someone said he was a muppet I think, so perhaps dress up as cookie monster or elmo next time, or maybe I misunderstood.

Have fun once you've woken him up!

It's a fantasy, not reality. Some people like dress up, some don't. Just because you like it, doesn't mean you deserve ridicule, and if you don't, that's not boring.

molly3478 · 31/12/2011 22:07

I think its harsh for him to have laughed at you when you have made the effort. I have dressed up as loads of things as a surprise for Dh he never thinks its weird and it always makes him horny. Did you ask him why he didnt want you to dress up?

I went to Grammar unitll 18 and i didn't wear uniform - the number of 18 year olds in unifrom will be minimal and you know it.

Where can i find those stats about the 'majority' of men?? I've just asked one and he hates the idea.

It 'reminds' me of children is not the same as saying 'hey you're a paedo'.

I like the idea of a fucking a nurse is not I want to fuck every nurse - OK. It's never OK to fancy fucking a school girl unless you are a school boy. HTH.

This is one of those IABU? Yes, NO I AM NOT situations I love Xmas Grin

Maybe your dh doesn't get turned on by school girls? I would consider that a plus personally.

I haven't, and wasn't planning on it, but seeing as I was a school girl when I met dh, am I allowed to dress as one? Grin
