To be suspicious about a kindle??

I have just discovered a new kindle in DH's car boot hidden under a pile of work stuff. Obviously only recently ordered. Presumably a present.

I have one. DSs are little.

AIBU to be suspicious and start wondering who he can have bought it for. Have I been on mumsnet for too long!?!

What time does he get in?! Just read whole thread & now addicted! FWIW, & to carry on the Love Actually theme, I v much doubt it is Sex and a Kindle, or worse Love and a Kindle. I strongly suspect it is just a kindle Smile

neepsntatties · 30/11/2011 18:06

What time is he back? I need to know what happens!

VivaLeBeaver · 30/11/2011 18:08

Marking place.

Sorry

Before you ask him, have a look through his credit card statements for any other suspicious purchases. And his Amazon order history. If you know the password for his email, I'd have a quick look through those too.

I think it's best to have a bit of a dig around. If he is up to no good, you don't want to warn him and make him extra careful.

Not saying he is, he could be completely innocent, but I would be suspicious too.

Clarajinglebumps · 30/11/2011 18:17

me three..

Theas18 · 30/11/2011 18:17

Watching here too. Somehow a kindle doesn't really seem, to me to be the gift associated with a torrid affair, but I could be wrong.

Ask him!

(after all you get a kindle.... and you want to read surely!)

If it is the new kindle it might be a Christmas present from dh? We say no presents for each other every year but 'Santa' always gets us a little something!

GiserableMitt · 30/11/2011 18:29

IF I was a homewrecker having an affair with a married man I'd be pretty distraught at getting a Kindle for a present.

I DID get a Kindle as a surprise present but it was from DH and not an illicit lover

MissMogwi · 30/11/2011 18:29

You've been watching 'Love, Actually' too much...

flatbellyfella · 30/11/2011 18:41

Is he home yet????

CamperFan · 30/11/2011 18:47

Come on, Mr Kindlefinder, come home!

Kayzr · 30/11/2011 18:48

Come on. Is he home?

WorraLiberty · 30/11/2011 18:53

I really don't understand relationships like this

Why on earth couldn't you have simply asked him who it was for when you discovered it?

Posters on an internet forum are not going to know are they?
