to ask you if you are hairless down there??

a drunk conversation on a girls night sparked the conversation of shaving down there.... i was very surprised to hear that out of 11 females only 3 still had hair down there.... Its not something i ever thought about before, and in the conversation i was 1 of the 3 that wasn't completely bare down there lol i am now the center of several hairy jokes, which doesn't bother me as they are quite funny... But anyway, as none of us no each other on here my question is are most people bare down there?

i vary,at the moment its a bit wild i am in trim and tidy mode is enough, but i have been bare and semi bare. i go through phases.

Only pre-pubescent children are hairless 'down there'. Make of that what you will but I find it disturbing that women are doing this because men find it sexy.

Its a bit when you get the first grey ones though. And its gets a bit......sparse Or this could just be me....

Only because I had a emcs last week. I have had my knicker area shaved twice, once for each emcs.

Of course I'm not hairless, I'm a grown woman, not a child.

I'm 27 I wouldn't dream of getting rid of hair down there.... to me its a bit [hhmm] its there for a reason to keep you warm and clean.

I used to religiously shave , I've let myself go a bit now I have some hair now, not full on growler though [eww]

when its making an escaope from the sides of your knickers its time to call it a day lol.

I don't want to look like a child, but OTOH I do try and keep it neat and tidy. I also like to feel a bit of fresh air around my bits and pieces. However, time and children mean I don't often get the time for maintenance.
As OH exclaimed last night - "oh, I see you're in your full winter plumage" [hhmm]

I am a little concerned now that if I get run over by a bus no one will notice that I have clean pants on - they'll all be busy laughing over their pints at my lush locks.

I will admit to caring what other people think and I think there's no shame in that.I don't sit easy with the full shave though.

I think I will be de foresting to a landing strip later.

The surgical team have shaved the top couple of inches both times. It's so they can make the cut as low as possible i think, and nothing gets caught in the stitches.

I trim it shorter than it would be, and have a bikini line wax every now and then, but I have no desire to resemble a prepubescent girl. I did shave it all off once and had spots, and sex didn't feel better. I love mumsnet!

i too am that people seem to think the only reason to be shaven is for a mans benefit.

what i do with my body/clothes/pubes is for my benefit so i feel good/happy, not for a man and funnily enough i have hips and boobs, so don't look like a pre-pubesent child just because i shave!

If you shave it all off- you do get a sort of slidy glidey movement when having sex IYSWIM. And it is better for oral sex. In fact, I wish men shaved down there as well at such times.

I remember reading a book about Timothy Evans (the falsely accused murderer) andf the writer said that they knew his victim wasn't a decent women as she TRIMMED her pubic hair!

Remove the sides and trim the rest.

To be honest I have tried being hairless once... and it creeped me out a bit. To me it is child-like, so feels completely wrong.

I reckon trimmed and tidy is the way to go... and when I get time I wax off anything that can be seen when I'm wearing knickers.
