Oh bollocks to the lot of it. This is not some tinpot autocracy where the army rule the people. this is not Cairo FFS, this is LONDON.
This is civil disobedience organised by a bunch of ill-disciplined feckless youths who have seized on the flimsiest of bandwagons to take the piss.
They are so stupid that they are risking human life and limb, burning down peoples businesses and homes for a pair of trainers, not the right to free speech, not the right to gather in groups of more than 3.
They are destroying homes, businesses and facilities that will harm them long term. Investors won't be flooding in to mop this up anytime soon and tbh, I can't say I blame them. Our councils, rightly, have to cut back on spending, as we all do, and there will be no restoration of the areas already restored from how it used to be.
We have rights here, and we will keep them. We have withstood extreme terrorism FGS, you think a gang of spotty yoofs will change the way we live?
When you have actually lived in a country that IS ruled by martial law, that doesn't have any right to human rights, where the citizens really ARE a thorn in the Govt side, and utterly dispensable and supposedly disposable, then fine, but that is NOT Britain. And THIS is not Cricket.
I hope that this country sends a clear message to those that did this, and their parents, that enough is enough, this hands off waddamigunnadowivhim style of parenting is what is crippling our youth, not the lack of investment, facilities, jobs.
