How miserable are you that the Tories are in power?

I feel tense and twitchy. I used to enjoy reading the politic section/ other political forums, but I fear if I keep on going there and reading more and more about Tory plans, I will give myself a heart attack.

I loath them but worst I fear them. I am anxious for this country and the ordinary man and woman.

Dave makes me feel insane with hatred.

I have a colleague who is in love with the Tories. I don't share biscuits with him any more.

Dave makes me itch. All over.

I dont spend alot of time reading about it but I did read an article a while ago which was their plans to keep schools open god knows how long and reducde holiday times etc oh and open on saturdays or something which made me actually angry - which doesnt happen that often.

YABU. Labour got us into this mess in the first place, don't forget, with their Ineffective financial regulation and encouraging people to buy more than we could afford on credit.

Crunch time had to come and it would be just as bad now if Labour were in power.

Camerons Tory clan dont appeal to me. Why choose Coulson as his chief press man. To impress Murdoch is probably the answer

I know what he is doing my be harsh but he is trying to clear up a big mess left behind by the others. It's not all his fault.

I'm with morelliorranger and needacostume. It isn't the current government's fault that there is no money! And if there's no money, there isn't a lot anyone can do but spend less.

Fairly, but I doubt they'll be in for too long, I think a lot of Lib Dem voters will switch and vote Labour.

I voted Labour but even then I knew that they'd messed things up, the Cons were never going to be popular, but Obama is in the same position in the States, taking over a poisoned chalice is never going to make you popular.

We haven't personally been hit as we don't get benefits or need care services, but I can understand why more vulnerable people feel very unhappy.

The lack of banking regulation was all thanks to Thatcher not New Labour!

I'm counting down the days until tthe next generally election and hoping they don't do too much damage in the mean time

I don't believe all that crud about the counry being unable to afford things like social care for the elderly, education for our children, libraries, leisure centres etc.

It's all crap. We're spending money on bollocks like the olympics, the world cup bid and the royal wedding.

I'm watching much of what I loved about this country hacked away.

The cuts are almost purely ideological.

What angers me most is the way they are so intent on destroying our Justice system. I do not say that it is perfect, but it is something that as a country we can be rightly proud of. The fact that we all have access to the protection of the law is something that is looked upon with envy worldwide.

The Tories/coalition govt want to stop this by removing legal aid from huge numbers of people who rely upon it. It will have the effect that many people on low incomes will effectively not have access to justice for issues of real importance.

We should be ashamed to let this happen.

In a sense I feel quite comfortable, as a raving leftie, with the tories in charge, it means I can rant away happily in opposition. I loathe much of what they are doing, they are destroying the sector I work in, but at least I don't have to worry about having voted them in (as with Labour and the Iraq wars, the faith schools policies, the academies programme, PPI etc). It feels familiar, like being back in my student days when the tories were in for ever. When you vote for a party and they get in and cock it up, that's more painful.

We get the olympics once in every hundred years - you can't compare issues like that with everyday spending.

yanbu I avoid stuff about the cuts as I am so scared for my dd and her future(or lack of a future) I hate david scam so much.
