(original smug thread was in AIBU so this seemed like the right place for it)

For those who don't remember, [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/762767-The-SMUG-thread-An-amnesty-if-you-will-Come-and here it , the SMUG AmnESTY IN ALL ITS GLORY}}

So, two years on are you still smug about the same things? Have your good eaters turned fussy? Are your home-ground spices still beautifully arranged in jars? Have your children still never had a filling?

Everyone says that being smug is a magnet for karma to come and bite you on the arse, but has it?

I was smug when my midwife commented how nice it was to see someone who was organised, all because I had booked my antenatal classes in January - I'm not due till July. At the time I had thought that made me sad.

Reality's been biting people's arses again? Tut, tut.

We're not so anomalous on this thread, are we ...

Hey badger, I'm due July too (are we on the same antenatal thread?). you can be smug about booking your classes in january and I don't think its sad at all - left ours far too late and we ended up in a cancelled place with other women who were much more advanced than me - think I am possibly the only one left to pop!

Badgerwife · 23/05/2011 15:27

Coocoocachoo, I've not seen you around in the thread I'm on, but it's so busy I miss half of what goes on on it www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1166544-July-2011-were-entering-the-second-half/AllOnOnePage#25500783

I also feel smug that I am a fairly decent cook, which I learnt the hard way as my mum is not so good Smile

TrillianAstra · 23/05/2011 15:44

Shall I be smug that I am working from home and have managed to bake a cake (to take into the office tomorrow) as well as doing work.

I ate a pork pie while doing the shopping in Sainsbos and instead of the usual horrified glares people smiled at me and my bump. Hoorah!

Casey76 · 23/05/2011 17:51

I wouldn't be smug about eating a pork pie if I was you....they put all the shit in just like in hotdogs....

bellavita · 23/05/2011 17:51

I am smug that I have managed to snaffle the crust off the tiger bread and layeredd it thick with butter before anyone else got to it! Yum!

LadyOfTheManor · 23/05/2011 17:56

i am smug. I am pregnant and craving them, I don't particularly care what goes into them.

I quite fancy some tiger bread.

DontHassleTheBOF · 23/05/2011 19:25

LadyOfTheManor · 23/05/2011 21:16

I am NOT smug that Trills has pulled me out of self-imposed posting ban by reviving a thread that pulled at my heart strings.

The nice thing about the PM button is that I can click on 'contact poster' on a post from years ago, and it sends to you now even if you have changed your name.

I a smug that I am oblivious to all smuggery past and present and don't feel left out at all

CocktailQueen · 26/05/2011 08:51

Well, I wasn't here 2 years ago but love the thread!!! 2 years ago I was smug about dd being a good eater and ds being a good sleeper, probably. Am still happy that they are good eater/sleeper but am feeling a bit Hmm about my parenting skills generally, and both kids are challenging in their own ways so, not smug at all here!!!
