To not want DNephew on Wedding Photos? Or am I being a bridezilla?!

Firstly, I've namechanged as don't want to out myself incase any of the people involved are reading Wink

DP and I are getting married on Friday. DNephew (9) is page boy.

SIL rang this morning and left a voicemail on DP's phone to say that she thought she better warn us that today they are dying DNephew's hair bright green, as that is what he wants. She laughed at the end of the message saying 'sorry in advance about the wedding photos'.

I know she isn't joking. His hair has previously been all manner of colours - purple, pink, red etc.

So AIBU to ask DP to tell his sister that if his hair is bright green, I dont want him on my professional wedding photos? Or am I being a bridezilla?

If IABU, then please be gentle, I'm stressed enough already Grin

Ooops bit of a x post there!

DoubleNegativePanda · 22/05/2011 17:57

Oh no frantic, it's nothing so exclusive. It's just that I have no computer and only MN from my iPhone, and you can't upload photos to MN from the phone. Down the thread I posted links to my Photobucket album :)

OP! OP!

You must be back from honeymoon by now!

What happened?

MsVelvet · 07/01/2012 20:02

update at all?

SophiaMurdoch · 07/01/2012 20:21

YANBU.

I would expect them to wait just till it's over atleast but if they go ahead with dying the hair anyway there are always photoshopping photograph services avaliable.

Is this for real?

SmethwickBelle · 07/01/2012 20:32

Similar thread about a bridesmaid going on, I suspect trollery.

SmethwickBelle · 07/01/2012 20:34

Actually looking at the date this is an ancient thread!

quirrelquarrel · 07/01/2012 21:28

No, YANBU. It would be good for the kid to learn that sometimes you have to put other people first....and of course YANBU to have preferences and dislikes regarding your own photos (although personally the whole wedding hype passes me by).

MilitaryWag · 07/01/2012 21:39

Another thread about green hair and wedding photos?? Confused

UKSky · 07/01/2012 21:41

This has been bumped and is originally dated May 2011 so not trolling.

GreenEyesAndNiceHam · 07/01/2012 22:12

I know this is an old thread, but I missed it first time round and have only just seen DNP's fantastic wedding pics!

So to whomever bumped it- thanks Grin

rootietootie · 07/01/2012 22:30

YABU, you come across as a pretty shallow and insecure person imo if the notion of a child dyeing their hair is perceived as a direct threat to you and your wedding. What if someone else turned up to your wedding with their hair dyed another colour? Would you telling them not to bother posing for photos?

loopsylou · 07/01/2012 22:32

the other bridesmaid thread is more recent. They are the trolls. Lazy ones at that, could have at least said the bridesmaid dyed it a different colour, didn't have to stick to green!!! LOL

gimmecakeandcandy · 02/01/2013 21:49

Was this a troll? I hate it when posts don't get updated!

myBOYSareBONKERS · 02/01/2013 23:13

This is a year old. . .

misterwife · 03/01/2013 06:42

I think it's not reasonable to dye a young kid's hair green as it could cause ructions at school.

But I can't see the fuss over having green hair in a set of wedding photos. Sorry.

misterwife · 03/01/2013 06:43

Agh year old thread so pointless comment
