To think River Song is too old for MS's Doctor?

So this doctor is her doctor. Does anyone else think the actress and the character are too old for him? It's not just the physical age, he's just very young in general. River is mid 40s and so cool and sophisticated and the doctor is a bit of a twenty something goofball.

Or is it just me?

I do think Paul Bettany could do a similar thing to Matt Smith but with a bit more maturity.

i think matt smith is AWESOME tbh, and i say that as a tennant fan of old. he is wiping dave off the screen.
lol at the roaring of my raggedy doctor and the kissing, both things that ruined the final ep for me. that and telling her dad to SHUTTUP. that was rude.

They made him 200 years older, right? but still him. Which means that he doesn't regenerate for at least another 200 years, right?

He can travel in time, as long as he doesn't bounce around on his own time line and fuck it up he's ok. So logically, yes, he can get to 200 years or more without regenerating as long as a newer actor doesn't come along he doesn't have a fatal body accident or even properly die. What they are inferring is that this is the last ever doctor incarnation, as he started to regenerate and then shuffled his immortal coil as it were.

His first episode put me right off. all that whirling around and stupidity and the custard and fish fingers.

i thought 'yup. he's a twat' and I've never really warmed to him since.

Which is unfair, I know. Because he doesn't write the bloody episodes.

but still...

Indeed Hec - he is quite possibly the only man I'd consider leaving DH for.

He's currently doing well in an American show, which is a shame (come back and be our doctor!) we should start a campaign Grin

I heard that B0ff, it's all over the web, and it's supposed to be River in the suit (who kills MS). Hence her prison stint.

Pond is stunning and has legs that go on for ever (jealous much?) DS met her and talked none stop at the poor woman.

Was talking to dh about the Amy is River's mother thing. Can't quite believe it. Though dh did immediately say that it was River in the spacesuit, hence the prison sentence.

Of course there's the other rumour that she IS the doctor.
