To think River Song is too old for MS's Doctor?

So this doctor is her doctor. Does anyone else think the actress and the character are too old for him? It's not just the physical age, he's just very young in general. River is mid 40s and so cool and sophisticated and the doctor is a bit of a twenty something goofball.

Or is it just me?

Well I could have misinterpreted it, but I really thought she was saying he was her doctor.

Hecate that whole storyline is going to have to be derailed somehow, otherwise he'd be actually dead! So I don't think you need to worry about it :)

I thought the terminology was more a general 'her' doctor regardless of the actor - more that the Dr is always hers?

I did notice that Alex Kingston and MS were flirting more in the new series which I'm just not sure enough - her character is far too feisty to be swayed by the lovely yet slightly odd Matt.

Plus they are running on different time lines - I don't think we've met the Dr she falls for (if that is indeed the connection - I have doubts/other theories).

I love River and I love the "Hello Sweetie" stuff even though normally I think I'd wince at it. And Eric - yes, I agree. Matt Smith does a good job at being a bit old and a bit alien but ultimately he's too young. It doesn't work.

i have so far loathed karen gillen for her poutiness and YELLING but she didn't irritate me once in this latest episode. i think she has had lessons.

I have to agree with Turtles - Arthur Darvil (Rory) is much better looking in RL. That Rory character doesn't do him justice.

I found her less irritating as well. Her relationship with River seems to have changed.

Maybe somebody gently took Gillen to one side and said, if you don't know how to say the line ask fgs, you don't have to shout it whilst flicking your hair.

I'm rather pleased she's stopped trying to kiss the Doctor too. If she roars says My Raggedy Doctor again though I won't be responsible for my actions.

I'd say something about him giving me a good physical any day of the week but that's a base and nasty thing to say about somebody so beautiful.
