Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

Are you quite mad? The last thread resulted in flouncing, threads about threads about threads, fights and a fall-out that put Hiroshima to shame.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 20/03/2011 17:03

ROFL at Bupcakes

ShowOfHands · 20/03/2011 17:04

Oh no no no. Not this again. It will all go horribly wrong again.

But I felt the same way about Eternal Sunshine and Sideways. Grin

LucyInTheSkyWithAntiHistamines · 20/03/2011 17:04

This will not end well

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 20/03/2011 17:04

I predict that this thread will self destruct in....15 minutes.

JuicyOlive · 20/03/2011 17:05

And your favourite MNer is who?

Nancy66 · 20/03/2011 17:09

I think men who carry babies strapped to their chest look a bit wussy....

bupcakesandcunting · 20/03/2011 17:10

The Graduate is a shit film with the shittest of shit endings.

Jamie Oliver is a good chef but he is NOT the fucking Messiah.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are going to do that kid a world of damage.

TaudrieTattoo · 20/03/2011 17:11

Didn't like Little Miss Sunshine or The Big Lebowski. And I hate Boardwalk Empire - or Boredwife Empire, as it's known in our house.

TaudrieTattoo · 20/03/2011 17:13

The Graduate??
Shock

Shame on you Wink

OnEdge · 20/03/2011 17:15

I never got The Shawshank Redemption

rookiemater · 20/03/2011 17:15

Oh I agree about The Kings Speech, dull as dishwater. The plot - man has speech impediment - man gets cured of speech impediment was somewhat flimsy for a full film.

Mandy2003 · 20/03/2011 17:15

Ah but Mrs Robinson's eye make-up IS shit!!

And she's about as sexy as cold rice pudding Wink

OnEdge · 20/03/2011 17:15

and I never liked Little Britain either, just quietly didn't get it

fedupofnamechanging · 20/03/2011 17:16

I think most 'classic' novels are really boring and I would rather read Heat magazine (and I used to be an English teacher Blush

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 20/03/2011 17:16

I think baby led weaning is a wanktastic name for giving your baby food.

Oh OnEdge I very loudly didn't get it.Grin

Mymblesson · 20/03/2011 17:23

Little Britain is complete and utter shit.

jazz412 · 20/03/2011 17:23

I hate avatar and just see it as a massive waste of money on pocahontus played by the smurfs.

BringBackGoingForGold · 20/03/2011 17:27

tawdry, so agree about The Big Lebowski!

Also, I like Chris Moyles.

OP posts:
feeblephoebe · 20/03/2011 17:31

i dont think its possible to diagnose someones problems from two paragraphs in an OP

Summerbird73 · 20/03/2011 17:31

hobnobs i agree with you on the BLW - also 'elimination communication' is a load of tosh - it is basically knowing when your toddler wants a crap! (usually at a far too early stage for potty training anyway)

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/03/2011 17:32

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 20/03/2011 17:35

Oh, and...
I think a lot of MNers dont give their honest opinion on things, rather the opinion the think looks best to others... Grin
