Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

I think the royal wedding should have been forced to be on a saturday and wish people would shut up whining about whether or not they have the day off.

People who shop in tesco and work there are stupid.

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 19:36

Oi - I have a relative who works in Tesco (definitely not stupid) and Ishop there. And I'm not stupid either.

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 19:37

and I shop even! Grin

usualsuspect · 24/03/2011 19:45

People who are snobby about supermarkets and shop assistants are stupid

YouTry · 24/03/2011 19:47

Still going ladies?! Am impressed.

I can't think of anything unpopular to say, but I agree, nothing wrong with working in Tescos!

NotaMopsa · 24/03/2011 20:36

people who do not parent wild kids and look at you as if you are being harsh if you dare to say 'no' to your happy healthy adored but well behaved child

CheerfulYank · 24/03/2011 20:42

My uncle has a DD the same age as my DS...last summer when they were playing I reminded DS to say excuse me when he was squeezing by someone. My uncle said "I used to try to get DD to say things like that too, but then I thought, I don't really want to put so much pressure on her..." Yes, let's not BURDEN our children with DECENT MANNERS. Hmm

minxofmancunia · 24/03/2011 20:57

I don't trust people with no books/don't read and once I find this out about them I usually go off them.

Ditto people who aren't into music, weirdos.

People who're teetotal(religious/addiction reasons aside) don't completely trust them either.

snowboarding is a wanky sport for wankers in wanky resorts.

GreenEyesandHam · 24/03/2011 21:06

Eva Cassidy was a bit crap

MrsSparkle · 24/03/2011 21:18

They are stupid - they work for a company that has closed so many independent shops. In 20 years time I see no other shops at all, just giant tesco stores!

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 21:24

I think you'll find that people take work where they can get it MrsSparkle AND Tesco may have caused lack of trade for small independants but the customers choose to shop at Tesco. Yes, me included but I also shop at the small independents in our town. I want to keep them open if possible and so do many of my fellow townsfolk.
And don't call me or my relative stupid. OK?

MrsSparkle · 24/03/2011 21:42

This is an unpopular opinion thread right? So my unpopular opinion is people who shop at tesco are stupid.pinion thread right.

LadyOfTheManor · 24/03/2011 21:46

I think Tesco is crap. I buy meat and veg from the farm shop, but some things involve me going to Tesco or Sainsburys.

I shan't shop at Asda.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 24/03/2011 21:49

"people who shop at tesco are stupid.pinion thread right"

I take it you shop at Tesco MrsSparkle ?
Wink

I have a damn high IQ and dont think I've wasted my life to
a) not have a degree and
B)currently be a SAHM (albeit on mat leave at the mo)

MrsSparkle · 24/03/2011 21:53

Ha ha. No way. Have not set foot inside one.

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 21:57

HeeHee allsquare.

"Worthy" people who never set foot inside Tesco (or any other evil supermarket which causes the closure of small shops presumably??) are yawningly self-righteous.

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 21:59

And allsquare - I know many very clever people who didn't go the Uni route. So good for you Grin

MrsSparkle · 24/03/2011 22:00

Pmsl Grin

NotaMopsa · 24/03/2011 22:00

can't bear the word Uni

Salmotrutta · 24/03/2011 22:03

Actually I agree with you NotaMopsa Grin - I'm just being too lazy to type the full word. I shall refrain in future Grin

NotaMopsa · 24/03/2011 22:40

Thank you kindly Salmo Smile

boosmummie · 24/03/2011 23:03

Still going. Love it!

I didn't go to university cos I didn't want to be poor and eat baked beans for 4 years! However it did me NO harm, although I suppose had I wanted to be a doctor or similar it may have helped....And I don't regret it one bit.

And anyway I HATE baked beans with a passion. I don't even have them in the house. Food of the Devil. Along with parsnips.

LadyOfTheManor · 24/03/2011 23:06

I went to University and didn't struggled financially. Or eat junk food.

LadyOfTheManor · 24/03/2011 23:06

struggle*

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 24/03/2011 23:07

I love sprouts. I could eat them for every meal! Grin
