to think women CAN have casual sex?

I have read a few things recently that have said that women and men are essentially wired differently and that women will always feel rejected, cheap and used after casual encounters.

I think this is just as bad as saying that casual sex is empowering etc. For some people it will be, and some people will feel rejected but equally some women can just enjoy casual sex without it being any more or less than that.

Or AIBU and we are 'wired' differently?

gawd I had loads of casual sex in my (6) university years - always safe & protected, I never had a pregnancy scare, never had a STI, never had any 'relationship' drama just good fun.

Then I met my dp, we had lots of sex, then got married, bought a house, had lots of children & continued to have lots of sex.

Regret neither.

I find it hard to understand those (not exclusively women) people in 'fall in love' and whine & pine away over whoever they happen to be shagging at that moment. I think they're relationship addicts & it's unhealthy.
