not to wash DWs clothes after only 2 wears

DW will wear clothes a few times then put them in the wash so I take them out of the basket and if they are not dirty I will put them on the line and she is none the wiser
I Have enough to do around the house without washing clean clothes

I hope your joking I only wear things once apart from jeans. I'd rather go naked than wear not fresh clothes.

If she wore them once, for ten minutes maybe you would have a point.

But twice is economical enough! Just wash them.

if they're in the basket, wash them.

if they weren't dirty when they went in, they're dirty now.
(and they'll smell)

i don't wash skirts every time, or jumpers, but everything else goes in every time it's worn.

YABU. She is an adult and can decide when her clothes need washing for herself. Women sweat differently to men. I would wash my jeans afetr two wears in hot weather but my DH wears his longer. I don't want to be too graphic, but trust her on this one.

Also, with tops, women can get sweaty under their boobs, whereas men don't (unless they have moobs). Sometimes a top that looks clean smells of cooking.

I do all the daytime housework but if DH puts something in the wash for me, I assume he knows what he is doing and I wash it.

Its not a slow day.

I just rinse cups and dishes. I have enough to do without making things hygienic.

You have to do laundry anyway, it probably takes you longer to sort what you think might be clean from what's dirty, than it would to just stuff it all in the drum and get on with it!

Anyway as nickel says, once its in the laundry basket its going to smell so wash it!

I guess you have a different interpretation of clean than some other people then...if by clean you mean dirty because it's been worn twice then yes it's clean. Just because something isn't covered in mud does not mean it is clean.

It is her wool jumpers, skirts and certain tops that do not need washing everyday. The tops are wool which need doing by themselves

no matter who you are, these items need to be washed every time they're worn

shirts, socks, teeshirts, bras (better handwashed, though), tights, knickers, pants, blouses, vests.

skirts can be washed after about 4 or 5 wears
tight jeans and trousers should be given 2 wears,
loose/baggy rtousers and jeans can be worn more often.

loose jumpers and cardigans can go for 4 or 5 as well before washing.
tight jumpers (ones that hug the underarm) should be washed every tiem.

seriously, she's a grown-up - she knows when she smells, and men are notorious for not smelling anything.

the wool jumpers you can leave for a while and make a halfload of them.

Do you really keep an eye on how often she wears a item of clothing?

You need to get out more!

I am a bloke who currently washes all the clothes in our house. I trust DW to know when she needs things washing.

I suspect we are only talking about jeans/skirts/jumpers here. It probably comes to about one extra washer load a week. Just wash them.

Besides, you know there will be hell to pay if she finds out what you are (not) doing.... and you know she will find out eventually.

I'm assuming you have a washing machine? So it's not like you have to go down to the river and bash her clothes against rocks to clean them, is it?

am i the only one wondering how on earth she would not notice this if you are just taking the dirty clothes and hanging them up then give them back to her?? i can't believe this, it just dont sound plausable
and 2 wears then wash is fine, most people wash after 1 wear so she is already environmentally friendly/economical/whatever with it. why take to extreme, should she wear the clothes for a week b4 washing or something in ur opinion?? gross

I wash jeans after wearing them for two days and wash tops after wearing them once. I get boob sweat lol. I wash my bra every two days but that's because I take my bra off around 7 at night just to let them relax. More comfortable

also not sure why is she not washing her own clothes for, if you have a problem just tell her do it her self
