Ffs though Russians are little swines. Like the annoying kid everyone insists needs extra allowances behaviourally and when they first push boundaries you're like 'oh maybe the kid didn't mean it' and you let it slip then bam they're out of control. Remember them pissing about at Ukraine's border at the start of this year, now look at what they've done. Utter swines.

I know that Poland has been calling for years for backup. They knew Putin was going to invade Ukraine. Now, given our lack of intervention, they will be shitting it. Putin is possibly laughing. Wondering when we'll pull out the big guns. Or will we renege on our deal with Poland as a member?

It's technically why we're militarily nuclear armed. For when the little bully gets to 16 and starts to hit out. But we're not really, as citizens of the West, used to war on our doorstep. We're accustomed to our troops bombarding oil nations. The ones which are armed with nuclear weapons, that is.

It's just awful and we can't forget we ordered a similar invasion in another country and caused so much death and destruction for no good reason at all.

Exactly. What’s happened in Ukraine, Syria, Darfur, Afghanistan is a fucking tragedy. Civilians shouldn’t have to pay the price because men in suits are bad at their jobs. Too many lives lost due to idiots in charge. Such a waste.

Troops get put on standby quite frequently.

As for Sunak, he’s a banker and a chancellor. It’s all the U.K. has been interested in for 30 years. We have the leader we deserve finally, hip hip hooray Sad.

And no, we will not be abandoning Poland.

I have just spoken with the Foreign Secretary and Defence Secretary.

We are urgently looking into reports of a missile strike in Poland and will support our allies as they establish what has happened.

We are also coordinating with our international partners, including NATO.
