agree with sophable
weird idea that normal pubic hair is vomitworthy

EyeballsintheSky · 18/01/2009 21:16

I've clicked on that photo four times now to have a look every time someone points something else out. I don't mind my internet provider thinking I'm looking at nudey girls but I don't want to be accused of eyeing up Madge's fadge

bringmeashrubbery · 18/01/2009 21:16

I don't garden most of the time edam, and the thread was posted in a light hearted way but I am glad that Madonna's fanjo is conjouring up some useful discussion on the infantilisation (is that a word ?) of women.

Me too. I haven't trimmed properly for almost a year.
And I'm not , I'm . It's what a grown up lady is supposed to be like innit?

harpsichordcarrier · 18/01/2009 21:17

agree with edam

PottyCock · 18/01/2009 21:17
SheherazadetheGoat · 18/01/2009 21:18

thank god for edam i was beginning to think madonna and i were crazy freak monkey ladies. it is normal (repeats to self).

NorkyButNice · 18/01/2009 21:18

Isn't everybody's bush like this if it's not trimmed and plucked within an inch of its life?

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/01/2009 21:19

Apologies bringme - I see it on the BBC too. Her face has changed a lot bit I guess it was 40 years ago!! Younger than 'allo 'allo!!

Agree fab tits and fairly normal hair (I bet she's had it all lasered off by now though)

Penthesileia · 18/01/2009 21:19

I'd say she looks normal; and beautiful.

Good to see that so many women have so easily swallowed (!) the porn industry's line and gone for its version of what pubic hair should (or rather shouldn't) look like.

Misogynistic and infantilising.

Great!

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/01/2009 21:20

Older than 'allo 'allo even..

tumtumtetum · 18/01/2009 21:20

I don't think she is abnormally hairy at all. Mine is probably pretty much of those proportions.

Do men actually prefer a hairless muff except in porn? DH hates it when I do shave

VanillaPumpkin · 18/01/2009 21:21

Oh Edam, the voice of reason, thank goodness. I totally 100% agree with your comments and I am relieved I am not the only one to think that way.
I have 2 dd's and I worry what women will be putting themselves through when they are old enough to be worried about it .
Thankfully I have a rational dh too.

iFeelLikeAHypochondriac · 18/01/2009 21:23

Shes got a fair but of under arm hair too

bollockbrain · 18/01/2009 21:23

all ye who do not garden on a regular basis, can you imagine falling over when you wear a skirt, and having a thong on with all that beaver on show?

I do not wear a thong but i do garden as the thought of having to dash to hospital and having the embarassment that on view horrifies me. And yes, I am a nurse, people do comment and they do laugh, so you have been warned.

BabyBaby123 · 18/01/2009 21:25

oh god - that's gross! talk about let yourself go (or should that be grow...)

tumtumtetum · 18/01/2009 21:25

I would rather flash some hair than my cunt to be honest bollockbrain

bringmeashrubbery · 18/01/2009 21:25

Don't wear skirts or thongs (shudder). Wouldn't give a shit what people say at a hospital, as long as they did their job

SHIT!

I'm at work and I just clicked on that as the sports guy walked by.

tumtumtetum · 18/01/2009 21:28

Question for the garden ladies - if you had/have a DD at what age do you get them to start ladygardening? And before that point are they "gross"?

bringmeashrubbery · 18/01/2009 21:28

Not gross babybaby - realistic yes..

OP posts:
paolosgirl · 18/01/2009 21:28

Crying out loud - fall over when wearing a skirt?? What on earth would the fall have to be like in order for the skirt to fly up over your ears!! And when exactly was the last time you fell over? If it concerns you, then wear a pair of big pants!

I work beside nurses who assure me that they do not give the amount of downstairs hair a second thought - they are too busy nursing the patient. What on earth is going on in your hospital?!

harpsichordcarrier · 18/01/2009 21:28

am I worried about the "embarrassment" of a medical professional seeing that I have pubic hair???
er, no. if a nurse or a doctor or a frigging fireman saw fit to snigger at my bush then I couldn't give a flying fuck, because they would be rude, shallow and stupid

ClementFreudsGreatestAdmirer · 18/01/2009 21:29

i really really genuinely couldn't care less who thinks i'm neglecting my garden. what a waste of time! and all that itching and chicken skin....
