What food do you purposely not buy?

Is there a food that you purposely don't buy because if it's in the house you'll scoff the lot?!

For me it's crunchy nut cornflakes. OMG I could eat an entire packet in a day, easy! It's like they call out to me "eat me"!!

So I very rarely buy them. What's yours?

Snacks. Then sometimes I do buy biscuits and I am happy…

GoodkneeBadKnee · 19/10/2026 21:28

Biscuits.

FionnulaTheCooler · 19/10/2026 21:29

Jaffa cakes. I don't think I've ever opened a packet and not finished them.

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 19/10/2026 21:31

Nutella. No off switch. I practically drink the stuff. 😂

Nobody should deny themselves Crunchy nut cornflakes, ever. One life, live it!

EerieDecorations · 19/10/2026 21:32

Crisps and Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. I treat myself to a box of the latter at Christmas.

Magicpaintbrush · 19/10/2026 21:33

Haagen dazs salted caramel ice cream. I could eat it by the bucket with a ladle.

RoadSign · 19/10/2026 21:35

Biscuits. Never, ever have them in the house. I couldn’t trust myself.

OneSnugDuck · 19/10/2026 21:37

tiger bread, fresh cream cakes and weirdly cod liver oil and malt.

LeftieRightsHoarder · 19/10/2026 21:37

Pringles!

ShakyBake · 19/10/2026 21:41

For slightly different reason then mentioned but I had a frozen packet of peas thrown at my head in a supermarket when I was 12 and it shook me up so much I have avoided them ever since

M&S ridged salted crisps as I can eat them all day

TremendousFlatulence · 19/10/2026 21:42

Those Lindt dark chocolate ball things. Deadly. I wouldn't stop until I died from chocolate Grin

worldshottestmom · 19/10/2026 21:45

Sticky toffee pudding. Idk what it is but that delectable diabetes-laden dream has such a hold on me. I look at it longingly in the shops. "One day, my love", I whisper to it.

Today was that day

autumnalmelancholy · 19/10/2026 21:45

Marmite.

Hedjwitch · 19/10/2026 21:48

Ice cream
Peanut M n Ms
Malteasers
Wine

Helpmechooseausername · 19/10/2026 21:48

Ooh I can totally understand all of those (well, nearly all - cod liver oil and malt FFS??) but I do buy biscuits and chocolate and will make sticky toffee pudding. I can exercise a teeny amount of self restraint with them, but crunchy nut cornflakes are in a different league for me!

Anything made by Tunnock’s

SallyAnnDrivesACar · 19/10/2026 21:50

Anything sweet. Chocolate, sweets, and cake.

Can't keep any of it in the house. At all.

stripesandspotsanddots · 19/10/2026 21:50

I try to avoid buying all snacks, I can't even have crackers because I will cover them in a thick layer of butter and eat 10 in a row.
