She sounds like a nuisance and you sound very concerned about this. Report her if you're worried.

Report her?

To the cat police presumably?

Good riddance to disgusting feral cats pooping in everyone’s flower beds. Revolting flea ridden menaces.

That’s a shitty, horrible thing to say. My neighbours cat regularly poos in my garden and it is disgusting however I also have cats who do their business inside and I would not wish anything to happen to any cats.

It seems to me that the OP can't help it. She's probably dyslexic.

No. To the relevant official at her local council.

Autocorrect does not appear to be kicking in though.

Maybe OP is using an older style of phone.

No. To the relevant official at her local council.

The cat person in the cat department?

Not many councils have that, you know.

Flowercandy · Yesterday 08:15

Thank you to everyone that has been supportive with this.most of them seem to have memory issues because they keep thinking the cats are feral when ive stated at least 3 times here they belong to owners.so for those questioning my grammer and spelling.i would like to question half of yours memory.ive stated here there not feral cats they have owners.and when i read my post back to myself about this horrible lady doing this to cats i wish the ones of u agreeing with it some karma.

Not one person has agreed with it.

Not one.

So keep your accusations to yourself.

Why don’t you post a warning on your local FB groups and the cats owners may keep them in for a while. If you see the nasty woman again, tell her you’ve let the Community Police Officer know, so she had better walk her dog somewhere else where there are no cats.
I’m a dog owner and I do not let my dog off the lead to chase cats.

To the RSPCA or the Dog Warden at her local council, or online to 101.

No cats were harmed though?

Oh ok so u have to wait for a cat to be injured to then be able to report so the signs of someone trying to get there dog to go at cats is fine but the cat has to be injured to report it.no excuse at all for a lady 2 be intitising the dog what so ever.a few weeks back one of the cats had a very nasty bite on its back so who knoes how that happened but when you have people like her about doing that you can take a wild guess!

Well I suppose in theory this could be considered as true - nobody has come out and said "Yes I agree that the dog walker should let her uncontrollable dog off the lead with the express intent of encouraging it to chase cats", not in so many words.

But the "no harm done this time" brigade, the "cats are all horrible and deserve what's coming to them" brigade, and the "oh just because she always does it when she sees the cats there and at no other time must be just a coincidence" brigade are all tacitly agreeing with the behaviours of the dog walker.

And attacking someone who isn't able to construct an argument, spell, or use grammar as well as many here is plain elitism - does the OP's spelling or grammar effect whether the dog walker was justified in how she behaved? Do people with dyslexia and/or lower levels of education have no right to discuss things and make a point?

chapstickandfibs · Yesterday 08:32

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · Yesterday 08:19

That isn't true.

I can’t find one post actually saying they support this woman setting her dog on cats.

There are posts expressing displeasure at cats fouling their gardens and killing wildlife (which I have to agree with - I hate people’s cats in my garden but the worst they get from me is a soak with a water pistol)) but that is not the same.

Flowercandy · Yesterday 08:33

This happened to one of the local cats .now thats questionable isnt it with people like her letting her dog off to chase them because she cant control him.

If you’re talking about me, then being able to construct her argument is necessary as it would allow her to understand that nothing actionable has happened, at the moment her position seems to be “ nice kitties, mean dog, I don’t like the flippant remark from the owner so I’m going on a witch hunt”, which, as I’ve implied previously, is bollocks.

You reallise that’s probably the cats fighting right ! If a dog had got hold of one it wouldn’t be a simple bite on the back.

All the Facebook stuff is now basically harassment of the dog walker, so wish you karma back for your behaviour.

chapstickandfibs · Yesterday 08:38

@Allergictoironing

I have to disagree. Just because some think it is tacitly agreeing, you have no proof of that. It is just your opinion. Not fact.

And I did not mock the OP for their grammar and spelling either. Given that you have said that in a response to MY post it looks like you are accusing me of that. So don’t.

Facts matter.

Flowercandy · Yesterday 08:39

I dont know what my grammer or spelling has to do with it this isnt a CV or some form of homework or anything formal .im writing about a concern i have and the ones going on about my spelling and so on your understanding what im saying as your disagreeing with my post on how this woman isnt doing anything wrong.are u english teachers if so i do apoligise.

Excuse me if i seen anyone doing this i would make it publicly known as animal creutly is totally unnacceptable dog or cat.i seen with my own eyes a lady delibratly setting her dog on to the cats and anyone who did not make this known publicly is just as bad as her.

If she can't control her dog when it wants to chase something then she shouldn't have a dog of that size without rigorous obedience training completed before it reaches adult size. Smaller dog breeds are available. Training is available. Keeping an insufficiently trained dog that is too strong for you to physically control should be a criminal offence.

However any healthy cat is perfectly capable of escaping from a dog in this kind of circumstance.
