This ^ I couldn't live in the artist's house, but appreciate it for it's integrity.
The house the OP posted is too 'try hard' for me - I mean, they're both somewhat contrived but imo the St. Marychurch one is like interior design by numbers with no actual flair or an 'evolved over years' feel.
I love colour - not dopamine decor, although I am a fan of Sophie Robinson - but more earthy colours than the bold, primary colours used in huge swathes in that house. So I hate the orange, the cerise pink...and the hallway is just terrible. I actually quite like the green of the kitchen though, despite it being a colour I'd never use in my home.
However, I don't believe in holding back if it's something you love and would never decorate with a future buyer in mind, so kudos to the homeowner for following their heart.
I'm sure if I posted up pics of my interiors they'd be hated by lots of posters, but our stuff has been collected over time because it means something to us and we love it. Whereas many of the decorative objects in that house look like they were bought en masse from somewhere like TK Maxx just for effect.
