I think it's a sweet house and I can see it's been done by someone who knows what they're doing. I like it better than most of the bland, blank canvass houses, and I really like a couple of the rooms.....but I'm not sure I'd want to live there.

I like it. Not sure about the matching wallpaper and wardrobe though.

I like it, not to my taste but it’s fairly plain downstairs once you take all the furniture and pictures out.
I’d probably keep the green kitchen.
I would have to do the hall and stairs asap though!!

tsmainsqueeze · 13/10/2026 16:39

I love the house but hate most of the colours and decor.

Bananacrepewithnuts · 13/10/2026 16:41

I think it's great. I would buy it.

Some of the colours are a little bit much for me but it wouldn't put me off at all.

I like it very much, but can't help thinking about that scene in Fawlty Towers when a guest complains about the view from her hotel bedroom window.😂

I think I could live with the hall just by making the colour of the spindles more neutral and changing the blue cupboard.

95% my taste apart from the stripes . I could live there very happily.

I love the price tag too, so much less than it would cost round here London/Surrey.

I thought that too, I believed Torquay (Devon) was very expensive because of all the 2nd homes. It has no parking though, which I imagine can be quite a problem in the centre of Torquay.

Gives me CBeebies fifteen years ago vibes. I love it though. I see that sort of style called ‘dopamine decor’ online.

koalaaa · 13/10/2026 16:46

ADORE it!

RemakeRemodel · 13/10/2026 16:49

It's not that weird. It's not my style but it's nicely executed for what it is. Don't most people refresh paintwork when they move house anyway? You might as well repaint fuchsia pink as magnolia. Apart from the stairs most of the rooms are pretty conventional in terms of flooring, fixtures etc - just with bright pops of colour.

LemonTT · 13/10/2026 16:49

It is creative and uplifting. I mostly like the decor. But the layout isn’t great. In the similar properties section there is a griege terrace with a better layout. I would end up buying that and changing the decor.

Lakeyloo · 13/10/2026 16:50

Lovely to see a home that very obviously brings the owners joy, and is not decorated depending on what's "in". I don't even mind the grass. Why would you bother with a lawn mower and keep moving all the furniture to mow in a garden that small. It's just like an outdoor room with a carpet for the Summer. Love the tiled courtyard.

Piglet89 · 13/10/2026 16:51

No.

Frannieisnthappy · 13/10/2026 16:51

I love it!

AnswerIsNo · 13/10/2026 16:52

Multiverse vibes

Everything's at volume 11 😀

TattieSconeEggAndBacon · 13/10/2026 16:53

Gorgeous apart from the hall.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 13/10/2026 16:53

Not for me but good for them

GintyMcGinty · 13/10/2026 16:53

I appreciate what they’ve done but I wouldn’t buy it or want to live in it

ThaneOfGlamis · 13/10/2026 16:54

Oh I like that. I do like maximalist, but we might move in the next few years, so I am avoiding it for now.

BillieWiper · 13/10/2026 16:54

Nobody would buy a house because they liked the zebra print on the stairs? Some of that could easily be AI and most would go with the owner anyway.

It doesn't put me off per se, but I'd hate the notion they expected me to pay extra for it because it looked that way.

PersonaNonFatta · 13/10/2026 16:54

Fabulous! I love a bit of colour!

PhilOPastry62 · 13/10/2026 16:55

Oh I love that! I adore bright colours, and I think they've done them really well. If I was moving to Devon I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

Gelstick · 13/10/2026 16:56

I think I might feel inadequate when it came to redecorating. My rooms would never be as stylish.

Deadleaves77 · 13/10/2026 16:56

I dont think I like it.

Its well styled and everything goes well together but equally lots of the decor is tacky and it looks uncomfortable, and as soon as you added anything you actually liked it would look out of place. I dont like any decor thats too put together whether its maximalist or minamilist. I would argue a carefully curated maximist house has no more personality than a completely neutral one
