I think it's a sweet house and I can see it's been done by someone who knows what they're doing. I like it better than most of the bland, blank canvass houses, and I really like a couple of the rooms.....but I'm not sure I'd want to live there.

There are more candles in the green candlestick holder in picture 4 than in picture 5, and they've changed colour

DemBonesDemBones · 13/10/2026 19:10

Love everything except the stairs.

JurgenKloppsTeeth · 13/10/2026 19:42

I’m not surprised to read that it’s largely AI generated. It looked like someone had gone on a trolley dash through Home Bargains for the latest kooky decor trends (stuffed animal heads! Chandeliers! Stunt pineapples!) rather than a house owned by someone genuinely artistic (whatever one thinks of the Brixham one shared earlier on). I do love the green kitchen though, that’s really cheerful.

Petrine · 13/10/2026 20:06

I love it. It could look a mess if the work hadn’t been carried out to a high standard. Lots of attention to detail. Fantastic!

LondonLass2026 · 13/10/2026 20:08

It's right up my street (pardon the pun).

SilentBob · 13/10/2026 20:15

I love this game- I’m playing spot the difference all
over the place!

likelysuspect · 13/10/2026 20:15

I like it apart from the hall and stairs

Is it an airbnb?

The green candlestick itself has changed too. Also the photo above the fireplace…

‘Monstrosity’?!

It’s a house owned by an artist. It’s been decorated to her taste with hours of her own work. It would be a matter of a few hundred quids’ worth of paint to bland it all out to white again if that was your preferred look, and the house itself is lovely.

There’s so much greyness and conformity and bland, sheeplike trend-following, I don’t understand the impulse to shit on someone else’s joyful personal expression. You’re a long time dead so put whatever the hell you want on your walls.

This kind of comment is more of an indictment of all the people who are so completely lacking in taste or imagination that they can’t envisage a space any differently from the current owner’s choices.

I know it's the artist's own house but yes I still think it's a monstrosity.

Corinthiana · 13/10/2026 20:17

I love it! I don't like the white walls in the first few pictures, but otherwise it's lovely. It makes a change from that awful depressing grey.

Doggymummar · 13/10/2026 20:18

Oh it's amazing, very much like my Brighton house

Corinthiana · 13/10/2026 20:21

The pink sofa is gorgeous 🤩

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 13/10/2026 19:07

Love it and love the price, why oh why am I a Londoner

I'm in Yorkshire and you couldn't get a house like that for £250k in my area!

AustralianCrunch · 13/10/2026 20:48

Gorgeous, especially the study.

Corinthiana · 13/10/2026 20:49

The egg yolk yellow is such a great colour.

ParsonMaybold · 13/10/2026 20:57

Way too garish for me. It looks like a 1980s kids’ TV show in house form. But if I liked the house, it might not put me off as it’s all fixable.

Glidinglikeaswan · 13/10/2026 21:07

Imagine the zebra stairs when you've had a few...

EdinaTheConfessor · 13/10/2026 21:08

I love it apart from the living room. Not a fan of the all white with wacky ornaments. I do love the sofa though.

But why is it so cheap. I mean it’s the same value as my similarly sized house but mine is an ex council house in the North!

I would have assumed Torquay would be expensive

dylexicdementor11 · 13/10/2026 21:31

Love it!

longtompot · 13/10/2026 22:24

The photo above the hob is different in the two photos, one of the kitchen and the one in the hall with a view back into the kitchen. I don't see nowhere on my of the listings which say they used aI to enhance the photos, but I think all the photos have had aI involved. Such a shame.
Going to look at the candles now...

WallaceinAnderland · 13/10/2026 16:29

Crikey, its like the inside of a toddlers colouring book 😮

CombatBarbie · 13/10/2026 22:55

I like it, only thing im not keen on is the stairs. Have saved it for styling ideas in my new house!

Yogafiend · 13/10/2026 22:57

I could never sleep in this house. My worse nightmare. But I can see it’s well done.

KnickerlessParsons · 13/10/2026 22:58

Flipping love it. Good price too.
