The comments section in the Telegraph isn't exactly glowing either.

It's a 'lefty' attack apparently!

More delusion and denial

BIossomtoes · 12/10/2026 10:48

Isn’t it amazing how the Mail and Telegraph are the oracle - until they’re not.

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2026 10:57

Are they upset with Badenoch's attack on Reform?

Are they upset with Badenoch's attack on Reform?

a) who cares ?
b) does it matter ?

Are they upset with Badenoch's attack on Reform?

This might well be the case. They must know that neither party can win power on their own, if there’s an imminent general election (which they keep claiming to want), without some kind of pact. But there’s clearly not going to be one in the foreseeable future, and probably never with Badenoch.

Edited to correct a wrong word

Burnham is praising Badenoch for what she said about Reform in her speech

He told the Rest is Politics:
I thought Kemi Badenoch did a very brave thing at her conference this week. In some ways, she did something similar to what I did at Liverpool, where she spoke from real personal experience. And that gave her the power to make that point that she did about the racism that we see in politics these days. And that clear dividing line she drew with others on the right, I thought was a real moment in British politics.

this is going to confuse people

It's the same as the response to polling

'Kemi's' positive personal polling - must be mentioned at every possible opportunity
The party's chronically lacklustre polling - never mentioned/polling not useful

It also "subtly" underpins the narrative beloved of the dim that you somehow elect the PM.

Interesting take on her statement, will KB accept the praise?

Obviously, it's my opinion, KB is going to ask questions in PMQs along the lines of why haven't you solved the black hole crisis (whisper it - that the Tories created) in over two years of Government?

Wonder if KB will make another lewd comment after Burnham's speech to Parliament this afternoon? Reference to his 'stamina' and that she had to 'sit back and lie there.", when Burnham made his first long speech as Prime Minister to Parliament.

Seem to be too busy fulminating about Burnham's comments about Brexit to notice?

Somewhere, a load of ex-Tory voters are quietly shaking their heads and working out the best pro-EU party to support.

Piper, tune.

One nation Tories are in the main people whose lives have been shaped within the family, just as many a Labour supporter. Each have an overarching view on some political areas, principally the NHS, housing, education, economic stability, justice and national infrastructure.

That's not going to appeal to the current Tory opposition, because immigrants.

It's an entirely expected response. Nothing to see here.

Farage must remember that he can't call Burnham "a liar" in Parliament. Ergo Farage is a kvetching coward.

That is why he is giving a speech/press conference where he can say it.

No idea wy it is being broadcasted live.

I wonder how long Badenoch will be around. Apparantly 50% of Conservatives don't want her to lead them into a GE and her seat is at high risk from Reform. Burnham's praise for her will be taken as no recommendation, so she's probably seething about that.

Burnham can't call Farage a coward in Parliament as it's considered unparliamentary language.

Reform have just so much money swashing around for these 'press conference' stunts/ performances

Suspended above the stage is a huge small boat dinghy - Farage won't say where they got if from or how much it cost

They've got money to burn

KB is like every other weak person in Parliamentary opposition leadership. She is certainly no David Cameron who incidentally led us into Brexit misery by trying to appease the ERG faction. Something he should never have done.
