My son would too. He’s a vegan eco warrior whose politics make me look like Thatcher. The Zionist vote is the end for him.

Jesus, that’s disgusting. I just heard Hegseth doing an interview about the firing squad execution, he was almost on the verge of orgasm as he described it. Every time I think they can’t get any worse they prove me wrong.

There are some truly vile people in this world and too many of them have too much influence.

You could be describing my son. He's done too.

This is only too true. What upsets me the most about Hegseth is that he claims to be a Christian whilst spouting his bile.

It appears to be an anti Islam thing. They are no more Christian than I am. Very much a lapsed Catholic.

I was just about to post the same link. No big surprise, really. Have a lovely Sunday everyone 😘

This is very interesting, thank you for sharing it, @placemats. It very much fits with my life experience from attending various churches throughout my lifetime.

In the Observer.

Andy Burnham has said "UK authorities are “clear” that there was Russian interference in the Brexit vote: this is the first time a prime minister has confirmed Kremlin involvement in the 2016 referendum."

More weird moderating decisions from MNHQ this morning.

I reported a post that was unequivocally and demonstably false. I reported it as misinformation (and pointed out that I believed disinformation would be a more accurate description).

Nothing happened for many hours. Then this morning, I received an email saying "Thanks for the report - the post does not break Talk Guidelines so we will allow it to stand so it can be challenged."

I wrote back to ask for clarification as to whether posting misinformation/disinformation is now permitted under Talk Guidelines, and asking why, if that is now allowed, there is still a "misinformation" option attached to the reporting function.

I have not yet received a response to this query, but a few minutes after I sent it, I received a second email from MNHQ - same moderator but without any acknowledgement of the earlier emails - saying "Thanks for reporting that post to us - we've deleted it now."

I've checked the thread. The post in question has now been deleted. So I suppose that's good. But I don't suppose any action would have been taken if I had not pushed back.

I wish they would just stop even pretending that they care about disinformation. It would be so much more honest if they would just admit that they don't care.

Britain First have started a petition to deport Badenoch, many Restore and Reform supporters are sharing it online

Aren't they just Sad

No sure what to say about the moderation - don't have high expectations of MNHQ moderation particularly wrt mis-information/dis-information which they really seem to struggle with for some reason

God, they are vile.

They are despicable I try to cling onto majority of people would feel the same but it gets increasingly hard when day after day such hatred is pumped out of what seems a never ending sewer of utter vileness.
extremly worrying @MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack I also doubt very much post would have been deleted unless you had pushed back.

They haven't responded to either of the emails requesting clarification so I've started a thread in site stuff to ask them to clarify their existing policies and procedures for dealing with this.

I think it's the presence of a reporting function for misinformation that annoys me the most. What's the point of having it if they aren't actually going to do anything about it?!

Edited

I think I was one of many who reported the picture of the man being mauled by the tiger. The initial reply was that it didn't break Talk guidelines. After pushbike it was removed.

Expect images of the execution on here, I guess.

If it ever happens. It seems likely that the legal red tape will prevent it for quite a long time, certainly until after Hegseth’s departed.

Piggywaspushed · 11/10/2026 13:23

Pushback! Obvs.

The pictures were posted when he was only seriously injured but the police had already asked for images not to be circulated - if that isn't against the rules then the rules need changing

Thankfully the whole thread was deleted after some atrocious posts mocking the poor mans likely disability - it was only a small handful of posters but nonetheless was one of the worst threads I've ever seen

Interesting. Fortunately, I managed to miss those threads.

They really need to sort out their moderation. It isn't good enough.

Piggywaspushed · 11/10/2026 13:34

Must be a different thread as I can still see the one I reported.

I agree - if the police (and the park) say' don't share images' , that is clear cut.

I thought images were supposed to be scrutinised before posting. It wasn't even flagged as sensitive content.

JD Vance didn't seem too keen on allowing it to happen.

Someone really needs to rein Hegseth in.

Piggywaspushed · 11/10/2026 13:47

Apparently the tiger thread was pulled and then reinstated - I am guessing while they read through deleting posts, and banning a poster.

They used to delete 'Swiss Cheese' threads.

I had to hide that thread. MN has attracted some real ghouls. Or just posters with zero internal boundaries.

These will be the people who say that the Bible has no place in their Christianity. (Meaning it's useless to quote it to them).

SerendipityJane · 11/10/2026 14:30

It seems a way to take the curse off hate speech is to get yourself elected.

The old militant student trick of the 70s and 80s. Slide a few nutters in under the usual apathy an then bootstrap your way to Der Fuhrer.
