Only posts that tow the line allowed?

There isn't a line. We often disagree with each other on this thread!

No we don't

No we don't

We certainly disagreed on here about Burnham’s decision to stand for the Makerfield by-election initially, and whether he should challenge for the leadership.

This. As the parent of a trans DS, I do so like seeing people treat him with the same decency and courtesy they apply to everyone else.

Hardly an unreasonable expectation.

Quite.

I have never been to a panto.

I love our local production. It’s very silly but that is as it should be.

cardibach · 04/10/2026 20:12

I dislike panto intensely, always have.

Oh, you need to go. Preferably to a smaller local one. We went as a family for years, Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal puts on an excellent one every year and they write all their own scripts. they also do not rely on Z-list celebs.

Quite.

It shouldn't be, but as someone who has twice been confronted in public toilets for not womaning properly I do not take it for granted.

LizzieW1969 · 04/10/2026 20:20

I enjoy panto myself though admittedly I haven’t been to one for many years now.

Piggywaspushed · 04/10/2026 20:21

I grew up in Glasgow. You can't not panto.

BIossomtoes · 04/10/2026 20:29

I love panto. I have a real weakness for slapstick.

Piggywaspushed · 04/10/2026 20:35

I’m still not entirely convinced, I did think he spoke very well at the conference.

Oh that man was supremely talented way ahead of his time.
