I have no words. As said, if Labour had decided on something similar concerning Reform or the Tories, you'd be able to hear the screaming from outer space. The double standard writ large.

Worth remembering that asymmetry is inherently unstable when force is applied.

The 88ft is an unfortunate choice as well

I am not very worried about about the Tory Tapestry’s misuse of “doth”. What worries me much more is this sequence of panels which seems to show a small boat full of brown-skinned people followed by a plague of rats running riot and then a lot of dead white people labelled tax payers.

Being charitable maybe it is not deliberate, but anyone with a functioning non-racist brain cell might have thought wait a minute...

So, just as someone who has already been charged with murder of one political figure is also charged with threatening another the Tories decide it's a good idea to use representations of violence against more. How, just how, did this get past the very first level of scrutiny. Where they all drunk or something?

Probably drunk. Remember the suitcases of wine brought into Downing Street during the lockdown?

DuncinToffee · 03/10/2026 19:29

They didn't think with Bloody Sunday video or appointing a neo Nazi

That “tapestry” is appalling who authorised that?

The neo-nazi you referred to! We are talking about the same person. At least I think we are 🤣

Oh ok, that guy, Badenoch's neo Nazi

Something tells me that Badenoch will have nothing positive to say or give. And for that reason, I'm out.

She is planning austerity 2.0 by the sounds of it

So predictable predictions.

Early release of prisoners harming women who suffer from domestic abuse. Probably should have jailed them for longer then under the Conservative government.

Small boats. All undocumented men. (Because documented men are safer in society). See above.

Tax will kill people. That millionaire is going to have a heart attack. Billionaires will leave.

TemperanceWest · 03/10/2026 20:09

Apparently the venue for her speech last year was small as there were worries about too many empty seats. This year they are going with a 2,000 seat venue. She must be feeling confident.

Didn't see workhouses and whips on the embroidery.

placemats · 03/10/2026 20:16

Another prediction for Badenoch is in the next PMQs she will say "He hasn't answered the question". Ad nauseum.

AI slop man.
Convicted of publishing antisemitism material and racial harassment.

Badenoch is a fan.

sorry, don’t know why I’ve neo Nazi explained there, just still appalled that Badenoch welcomed him in. Explains the Griphook characterisation though.

Given that he is an expert in AI slop I wonder if there is any chance the tapestry is his work?

Because austerity benefited the country so well last time around. The refusal to invest in public services, estates and infrastructure was catastrophic.

The only thing the Tories have to offer is performative nonsense that I assume attract numpties that think they are sufficiently well insulated not to feel the impact.
14 years of tightening & restricting access to welfare lead where exactly?

The cost of austerity: How UK public spending cuts led to 190,000 excess deaths - LSE Inequalities

Austerity measures (2010-19) cost the average Briton nearly 1/2 a year in life expectancy. Regional disparities widened and 190,000 excess deaths occurred.

It's important to be reminded of the terrible cost of austerity

Who in their right mind would even consider repeating it
