How can we increase respect for women

I've had a lot of chats with male friends and acquaintances about this lately.

A lot of them told me that boys are taught to disrespect girls, from many influejces, from a young age to a point where they don't see women as human.

So if a woman tries to say how life needs to be improved for women. If she tries to talk to men about feeling uncomfortable or scared on a walk alone through a town for example, men don't listen because their brain automatically thinks of the woman "as not even human" . They are also under pressure to look manly in front of each other, and some of them do this by disrespecting women in front of other men

Again, not all men. But the crime rate against women is huge. Men are not going to change, as it doesn't affect them negatively. I'm really interested in talking to other women about this.

How can we raise respect of women in society, in general?

You didn't answer my question. Where did anyone on this thread write that they hate men. I scrolled back and I don't see it.

The UK Government itself launched a National Taskforce for Tackling Misogyny today!!

In December 2025, the government
declared violence against women and girls as a national emergency along with police chiefs in July 2024.

Women need to demand respect, and not be any sort of walkover with men not doing that, and rear any sons they have to respect women. 🤷‍♀️

You have twisted what I wrote. Two people killed every week under any circumstance is obviously too many. It shouldn't be happening at all but the vast majority of women are safe with men.

The OP asked how to teach men respect but you also need to lean to respect - men and women. No one respects a manipulator.

How are the majority of women safe with men when 2 a week are killed by them, 3000 crimes a day are reported by women to the police and that obviously doesn't include the non reported. I'm glad you have never been the victim of WAWG but dont pretend we are all safe.
