Goodness me, wasn't expecting that.

Princess Katherine was the daughter of King Constantine of Greece and Philip's father was Prince Andrew of Greece. Constantine and Andrew were brothers which does indeed make Katherine and Philip first cousins. They were second cousins once removed on their mother's side through a shared descent from Queen Victoria so perhaps that's what you're thinking of. But they were most definitely first cousins on their paternal side as the respective offspring of two brothers.

Yes, Philip and Katherine were first cousins.

That does not make Philip and Katherine’s grandson first cousins as the post I replied to said.

If that really is the case that he was innocent ... this thread is scary, because we kind of all are assuming he was guilty.

But it didn't go to trial.

I don't suppose anyone will know the actual facts now. Has to be said that the Met doesn't have a very good reputation though.

ReleaseTheDucksOfWar · 17/09/2026 08:55

I agree with everything you wrote, but think it's important to say that it hadn't gone to trial and we don't know that he was guilty.

It's hard to imagine he isn't, but I think it's an important point.

If nothing else he should have gone to trial, because right now his child(ren) will be known as the child(ren) of the Pultney Pusher by default, and if he hadn't been guilty then they would have been spared that.

Presumtion of innocence is a legal construct. We’ve all seen the video evidence of him doing this - he is quite rightly guilty in the court of public opinion. He’s dead. He’s not going to be tried for this.

ReleaseTheDucksOfWar · 17/09/2026 12:56

Was it him though? The video I saw was fuzzy and it'd be hard to be sure.

Unless computer wizardry sharpened the features - does anyone know if that's the case?

JustAnotherWhinger · 17/09/2026 12:58

For the police to have arrested him and then not NFA’d it there must have been something that gave some sort of evidence he was there. Especially with the time lapse.

Its very telling of peoples faith in the Met that the comments on the article comment section have gone straight to ‘innocent man hounded to death by corrupt met’

MintyBadger1975 · 17/09/2026 08:07

I think he makes a fair point and there are plenty of other men contributing on here. Women are just as capable of this as men. I live and work in Manchester and the 'refuse to move' scenario is highly prevalent. Please let's stop the man-bashing. Women can be sociopaths too. I've met several.

lol 😂

Somethinggg · 17/09/2026 13:18

Even if it turns out he was innocent, I've some sympathy for the Met there if it wasn't them who leaked it. Which it may very well not have been.

EstherGreenwood63 · 17/09/2026 13:19

We see you fellaz. Here to 'he might be innocent' a violent abusive coward of a man. Crack on. 👋🏼 😂 Bisous.

whynotwhatknot · 17/09/2026 13:19

interesting how his family saying they contributed to is death and he was inocent

was there an actual alibi he had for the day if not they cant claim he was innocent

MyManinCaracas · 17/09/2026 13:21

They say the police knew he was innocent but don’t back up that claim.

momager22 · 17/09/2026 13:22

Iheartpasta · 16/09/2026 16:50

From what I read he enjoyed a career through who he knew not what he knew. How can someone do a degree in politics and philosophy and end up as a millionaire banker?

@IheartpastaPP/PPE degrees, especially from high ranked unis are held in great esteem in the city. Plus he was obviously very well connected.
You don’t need a maths degree to get into banking/ finance.
And it’s not that difficult to become a millionaire these days in that industry if you’re good at it.

Somethinggg · 17/09/2026 13:28

MyManinCaracas · 17/09/2026 13:21

They say the police knew he was innocent but don’t back up that claim.

I wonder if they actually mean that or mean they weren't going to charge him for the push, as those aren't the same things at all. Perfectly possible to believe someone committed a crime and know there isn't enough evidence for the CPS.

But the Class A is less complicated to prove, and any convictions for that could impact his career. So that alone was potentially a real problem for him even without the pushing issue.

OonaStubbs · 17/09/2026 13:54

How on earth do his family know he was innocent? Because he told them that?

shuggles · 17/09/2026 14:06

@NoTimeForThisShit This is a thread on women’s forum about a man who almost killed a woman by pushing under a bus and who then committed suicide 9 years later once he finally got caught.

I fully agree that the action was horrendous, and that the man who committed this crime is (or was) an awful person.

Yet another man comes onto women's forum to complain that “women refuse to move” for him.

I said the opposite of this. I said that generally I just move for all people (the only exception being that I won't step onto a road).

shuggles · 17/09/2026 14:09

@Negroany But you wouldn't know, you're a man, it won't have happened to you. You're just going to have to believe us.

It has happened to me.

I don't dispute that it happens to women. I'm saying that men do it to both men and women.

Plasmal · 17/09/2026 14:21

I think its interesting how the use of cctv may be helping to bring these crimes to justice. A bit like the cop who killed the girl shown on the bus cctv.
i think in the pusher case without cctv not everyone would believe it was as intentional as a runner knocking someone into traffic could have been possible.

would a jury have been told he previously ran over a cyclist and left them?

If that's the level of your accuracy and thinking and understanding, don't ever vote for the death penalty. Unless you simply don't care if innocent people are killed, of course.

Why the fuck are you on this thread arguing in circles and making it all about you and on top of that blaming women for men like this existing, and whining about other men being rewarded with partners for being pigs? What is wrong with you?

Itsasecretnow · 17/09/2026 14:40

CousinBette · 16/09/2026 15:11

He didn’t want to stay around to face the consequences of his own actions. I’ll bet he didn’t push just the one woman, and there were the drugs charges too. Thinking of his poor wife who he’s left to deal with the mess. And yes, I still mean that if she was indeed the one who reported him to the police.

What still gets me about that video is the fact that just, literally, a second before he pushed that woman he ran past a man. He absolutely chose her because she was a woman. Excuse my language, but what an absolute cunt of a human being. That woman will now have absolutely no chance of ever finding out why he did what he did. I mean, we all know why he did it, in the sense that he was a dangerous, misogynistic piece of shit, but even so just why, iykwim?
Absolute coward for not facing up to what he had done, as are all men who abuse women, and the only thing he would’ve felt was remorse for his own future.
In some ways it is its own form of justice, some could say, but not to that woman or her family. Nor to that bus driver; I’d imagine he’d probably still have nightmares about what happened and what could’ve happened.
That poor woman will live with this forever, whereas he just decided that he didn’t want to so took the easy way out. (just to confirm, I’m not talking about suicide being easy in a general sense, I’m talking about his choice to do so). All I hope was that it was a really fucking painful and drawn out end for that evil waste of a sack of skin.

And totally ignoring that your experience of men and women doing it accidentally or absent mindedly is vastly different to women’s experiences of men (generally bigger and stronger) doing it deliberately

Why so desperate to minimise the experience of the women on the thread who’ve experienced this?

Fuck all to do with her not moving out the way. Watch the video again, literally a second earlier he ran past a man who was in the exact spot she was in, but funnily enough he didn’t push him, did he? He chose to push her simply because he was a cunt and she was a woman. Wtf is wrong with you?

Everyone saw the video for years but still no one could identify him. It’s not possible to say that it was him from the video. It was an ex that pointed the finger at him.

There is nothing that links this man to this incident and innocent people do kill themselves when wrongly accused.

Yes there are some absolutely shocking posts on this thread. Hope none of you lot ever end up on a jury.
