Goodness me, wasn't expecting that.

To me it looked like they had one of those moments when you both move in the same direction but mean to move in the opposite direction. Because she seems to initially move slightly diagonally, too.
But for some reason his reaction to this mild inconvenience is to push an innocent woman into a bus lane.
Because he's a psycho who thinks he rules (ruled) the world.

If you actually view the footage, it didn’t look like that at all. It looks like he had plenty of space to keep running, they weren’t even really in the same “lane” whatsoever, and he goes out of his way to run over to her side and push her, hard, with both hands, without even trying to slow down. Not like a little shoulder bump or a careful “woops” bump.

However, a complete but not silly assumption, it seems like he felt the need to be aggressive because he was an arrogant prick, and took it out on this poor woman. It just has that viciousness to it.

It speaks volumes that he didn’t even try to stop, let alone help or apologize when passing the woman a second time.

Oh, it was absolutely intentional, and I can't believe there's any debate about it. You can see on the video that he REALLY jabs her. She goes flying.

Exactly. I don’t think I could send someone flying like that if I tried.

IndigoBluey · 17/09/2026 01:15

one less abuser in the world. Likely he thought he was above the law and untouchable with the rando Royal connection, see also army decorated. Add a good school and a career at the biggest bank and it’s a manufactured Patrick Bateman. Well
done on his ex for turning him in.

Lavenderandbrown · 17/09/2026 02:31

Seems so unlikely he accidentally ran into 2
female strangers in his life.

if he wasn’t the Putney pusher surely he has the wealth connections and military grade personal fortitude to declare his innocence and refute the charges. Seems unlikely he died by suicide because he was was falsely accused

I read once cold crimes are solved becuse the perpetrators relationships have evolved/
deteriorated in some way that new evidence is brought forward by someone previously protecting the perpetrator. A domestic violence incident / impending divorce /loss
of family home in very expensive area/ drug abuse and probably child custody dispute could certainly change alliances

Are you unfamiliar with arrogant, selfish, entitled men who don't give a seconds thought to pushing someone out of the way because they think they are superior?

Of course he wasn't trying to murder he, he was being a knob head.

He'd have pushed her bus or no bus, the bus was behind him when he pushed her

Why are you here arguing about this?

He pushed a woman onto the road, one that is always busy with traffic that mives quickly.

Why not push her the other way, if he didn't want to risk killing her?

Edited to add: FFS

According to the Guardian, he had stated in an interview with some financial/ City publication that his typical day involved him biking to his office and having breakfast meetings, working/ schmoozing all day, and home by bathtime as he was a single dad co-parenting a young child.

Those is a man who was well known to his ex army mates, his City colleagues and clients, and no doubt a wide social circle but it took years before the police targeted him, and even then it was possibly because they combed through previous serious attacks on women and some detail rang a bell, though it may well be that it was his ex wife/ partner.

He left the scene of the Hyde Park motorbike incident without providing details, so someone or something must have tipped them off that time too.

He had intent to kill her.
Watch the video closely and you will see how he went from running in a straight line to purposely running diagonally towards the victim and then pushing her in front of the oncoming bus.

She was inches away from being killed, and she would have been if it had been for the extremely quickly reaction of the bus driver.

Are you seriously coming on here and telling women that they're imagining it? What the fuck experience do you have living as a woman? None is the answer.

He’s never experienced how it feels to be a woman pushed by a man. Funny that. The mansplaining is 👌.

NoTimeForThisShit · 17/09/2026 07:21

ThatCyanCat · 16/09/2026 20:59

No difference. You see what looks like a man attempting murder and your primary concern is about how he had a girlfriend and women are responsible for using and gatekeeping sex to prevent such crimes. And we could spend a week telling you how fucked up this is and you still won't see it.

My thoughts exactly. Isn’t it ironic - man on a women's internet forum mansplaining to women about women’s live experience? Oh well, nothing new…

NoTimeForThisShit · 17/09/2026 07:25

AlonsoMosley · 16/09/2026 22:24

I don't think whoever did was trying to murder the stranger to him,

If you go out of your way to push someone into traffic, how is that not trying to murder/kill them?

My only guess is that PP really struggles with critical thinking

A way of punishing the person who eventually grassed him up

What a prick

Yes, this makes sense. To someone on the Antisocial Personality Disorder spectrum (I'd bet my arse he was), getting the upper hand is all that matters. I think he was more concerned about his run time than he was about the other person, who he likely considered beneath him. Typical Patrick Bateman mentality. My guess is numerous people recognised him from the footage and kept quiet out of fear or misplaced loyalty. Let's see what comes out about him now. On the other hand, it may be that he over did the no doubt high-quality gak and paid the price. People like that have a tendency to overindulge because they have a God complex.

There are women who refuse to move too. The "refuse to move" thing is not gender specific.

I'm a man and I always move, because I have other things to be doing than getting involved in childish "refuse to move" politics.

One thing I don't do though is step onto the road. If a crowd of people is coming towards me, then the trick is to take the inside of the pavement, furthest away from the road. Then they can't push me onto the road.

This is a thread on women’s forum about a man who almost killed a woman by pushing under a bus and who then committed suicide 9 years later once he finally got caught.

Yet another man comes onto women's forum to complain that “women refuse to move” for him.

ffs

BlessedIsTheFruit · 16/09/2026 21:36

He may well have been informed that a charge was coming so took the easy way out.

I should imagine he had connections with people who had connections etc.

I suspect he's done other appalling things that he knew may surface. People like that don't just stop what they're doing until they are made to. His luck had ran out, so to speak. Either that, or he just got carried away with his endless supply of class A and paid the price. His status allowed him to fly under the radar for a long time.

I think he makes a fair point and there are plenty of other men contributing on here. Women are just as capable of this as men. I live and work in Manchester and the 'refuse to move' scenario is highly prevalent. Please let's stop the man-bashing. Women can be sociopaths too. I've met several.

Well said. There is a massive difference between accidental bumping and deliberate shoving. It’s not hard to understand really. If you live in a city you experience the first, probably daily. The second is very different. There was a bbc report in the rise of shoving incidents towards women last year - it’s another way misogyny shows itself. Ironic that PPs gripe is that women don’t get out the way for him!

ReleaseTheDucksOfWar · 17/09/2026 08:55

BlessedIsTheFruit · 16/09/2026 19:22

Watching the video again, there's no way the pusher didn't realise a bus was coming up behind him and he certainly deliberately pushed the victim into the road. If it hadn't been for the alertness of the bus driver, the victim's head would have been crushed under the front bus wheel! Horrific!

He had plenty of room on the path to go past her without incident. That was attempted murder.

I don't think it's realistic that someone like that wouldn't have committed other atrocious acts during his life.

I doubt very much that in the circles he was in, a bust for cocaine use would have been much cause for embarrassment, and personal use wouldn't have attracted much more than a slap on the wrist. Easy to come back from when you know the right people.

I would hazard a guess the idea of prison time for attempted murder would have been untenable for someone from that environment used to doing whatever he wanted.

Good riddance.

Edited

I agree with everything you wrote, but think it's important to say that it hadn't gone to trial and we don't know that he was guilty.

It's hard to imagine he isn't, but I think it's an important point.

If nothing else he should have gone to trial, because right now his child(ren) will be known as the child(ren) of the Pultney Pusher by default, and if he hadn't been guilty then they would have been spared that.

Exactly this. No man has a right to an opinion on this. It's a WOMAN that it happened to. I won't even respond to anyone declaring that they're a man, when it comes to shit like abuse towards women.
