Do you usually take a glass of water to bed?

New couple. One always takes a glass of water to bed. The other never does. Both think the other is strange (light heartedly). What is normal for you?

Yes I do because I'm often thirsty in the night

Not helped by the fact that I can't breathe through my nose

lol, why would you take umbrage by what liquid other people drink?! My gran had a teasmaid & drank tea upon waking, I prefer water. It’s not deep!

I don’t. My husband literally takes a jug 🤣 and then wonders why he is peeing all night

I have a water bottle that holds about 500ml. DH prefers a glass.

Yup drink up to 1l at night. So a bottle not a glass.

Not an open glass because I always end up with a bloody fly in it, but I occasionally take a cup with a lid & straw if its a hot/muggy night.

Bottle of water, so I don't knock it over. I don't drink a lot in the night, but I like to have it in case I wake up and feel thirsty.

Yes i suffer from dry eyes and dry mouth so I always have to have a massive glass of water within reach

Yes - actually a water bottle because if I use a glass my cats always start drinking it, despite having their own water-cooler downstairs.

I have a bottle next to my side. Not a glass because of the potential of spider swallowing.

I have a bottle of water, if I wake my throat is sometimes dry( particularly if im snoring!).

No because then I’d need to get up to pee. Sleep is too precious.

I do always drink warm water first thing in the morning though once I’m up.

900 ml SHO checkerboard lidded water bottle. Filled with ice. Delicious 🙂

I take an XL Stanley full of water and ice every night. According to this thread, I might be a bit weird!

I wake several times through the night for a drink!

Yes always and a cup of decaf tea to drink in bed before I go to sleep. I have a little lid for the glass to keep flies out (and cats!)

No I've never done this and never slept in a bed with anyone who did. I don't currently have a bedside table but even if I did, I'd worry about knocking it over (or one of my dcs doing so). When the dcs are ill we give them a water bottle to keep next to their bed, I've never felt the need for one even when ill.

Yes I do. I rarely need it overnight but I drink whatever is left first thing in the morning.

DP and I both take a 500ml bottle of mineral water to bed, each lasts a couple of nights. I can’t imagine not having a drink on my bedside table
