BIL using our bedroom for intimate purposes

We arrived home from holiday last night. BIL has kindly been cat-sitting for us, popping in twice a day, but not sleeping here overnight. This is important.

This afternoon, I've been sorting out a few things in our room. The sun was shining in, and as it hit the mirror I could clearly see strange marks - handprints, quite high up, and what I think is a willy mark at hip height. They are quite noticeable, so I'm sure they weren't here before we went away.

I suspect BIL has been entertaining himself in our bedroom, either alone or with a partner. He's single and the thought of him bringing a hook-up into our bedroom makes me feel ill.

I've changed the sheets (just in case his activities culminated in our bed), but I don't know if I can bear the thought of him cat-sitting for us again if he does this. But DH will think it's strange if we don't have him back, and DCat has never been to a cattery.

Is there a way I can subtley dissuade him from using our home in this way, without offending him?

I've added photos, but they aren't very good because my phone doesn't seem to focus on the mirror surface.

Funnily enough, I don't think he will think it's strange if you don't have him back. He'll know why.

ILs rarely understand subtle communication so I'd communicate through behaviour and not ask him again.

Do you mean willy marks on the mirror? I don't really understand because your photos look like a towel. Personally I'd be more concerned about the cat. So no, I wouldn't have him back. Who knows what he's been up to.

Maybe say something like:

'Hi Bob, thanks for minding the cat. You do know we have a camera/silent alarm on the stairs. Why were you going upstairs?' See what he says. 🍿

I can't quite imagine, but I think he must have been leaning against the mirror with no underwear on, and his arms stretched up, palms pressed against the mirror. But why?

I draped a towel over a chair to get a dark background, because the marks are whitish and I thought they would show up better that way

Tell him you have a camera hidden in your room and ask him if there is anything he'd like to tell you before you view the footage

What does your DH say? It's his brother and his bedroom.

Ask him why his handprints are all over your bedroom mirror. I wouldn't mention the willy mark in case he thinks you're insane.
Fuck being subtle. If he's been using your room for whatever kind of sex he's been having, then he needs to realise it's not appreciated.

You need to get your spy kit out. Dust for fingerprints and check its not yours / your dhs

I mean he could have been having a wank / shag against your bedroom mirror but there are about 400 other plausible explanations.
