BIL using our bedroom for intimate purposes

We arrived home from holiday last night. BIL has kindly been cat-sitting for us, popping in twice a day, but not sleeping here overnight. This is important.

This afternoon, I've been sorting out a few things in our room. The sun was shining in, and as it hit the mirror I could clearly see strange marks - handprints, quite high up, and what I think is a willy mark at hip height. They are quite noticeable, so I'm sure they weren't here before we went away.

I suspect BIL has been entertaining himself in our bedroom, either alone or with a partner. He's single and the thought of him bringing a hook-up into our bedroom makes me feel ill.

I've changed the sheets (just in case his activities culminated in our bed), but I don't know if I can bear the thought of him cat-sitting for us again if he does this. But DH will think it's strange if we don't have him back, and DCat has never been to a cattery.

Is there a way I can subtley dissuade him from using our home in this way, without offending him?

I've added photos, but they aren't very good because my phone doesn't seem to focus on the mirror surface.

They are not as distinctive as fingerprints but it is there if you look closely and use your imagination.

Really???? Have you ever stayed in a hotel? Imagine the myriad acts that have been carried out there by prior guests.

Besides, you have no firm idea if the marks on the mirror were in fact there before you left. It seems to be a big stretch to leap from a few marks of your mirror to sexual deviance by your BIL, who was kindly looking after your cat. I'd definitely let this one go (unless of course, there is some problematic backstory to do with your BIL).

Well first off I'd mention to your DH that there are two hand prints on the bedroom mirror that aren't yours and ask if he possibly made them. If he answered no, I wouldn't be brave enough to challenge BIL. However, I would invest in an indoor Ring camera and set it up next time you have him cat sit. You can talk through them so if you get a notification and see anything untoward you can shout "David, what the fuck are you doing?" And watch him jump out of his skin 😂

Please ask your DH to recreate the scene you suspect, so you can compare the marks!

If you find smaller cat prints inside the hand prints immediately call the authorities.

And tripped then put his hands out to steady himself? Maybe the shock made him go limp so that would explain the odd smudging?

Is your bed still made in exactly the way you left it?

If so, I doubt he has been shagging in your room. He would use his own home for shagging, surely. Not yours, where he has to avoid the bed and can only have sex against the rickety mirror.

Pet sitters are expensive. And you have no proof this actually happened apart from some weird smears on your mirror. I would leave it.

(Though it's odd you can't discuss this with DH. How is your relationship generally?).

I can ask DH to press his willy up against a mirror and see if it matches the impression? He’d be up for it I’m sure if I read him this thread.

Well you can leave out fingerprints and investigate willy mark first.

I think the willy one looks like an upside down thumb. Perhaps DBil has a thumb shaped willy? Or a willy shaped thumb?
