@iCod I would say all of those things and I'm a woman. Does that make me a nerd!? My DH might say yes!

I wonder things like this, we were somewhere last year at the end of the season and entire beach bars and loungers etc were being dismantle and me a woman spoke about where did they go for ages. DH indulged me. I don't think there is anything wrong in being "nerdy"

You made me think of my DF, who said things like that all the time! I miss him, and I love when people think about things around them!

I wouldn't say nerdy, just curious. They all sound perfectly reasonably things to ponder if you are relaxed and don't have a lot on your mind.

How are any of these nerdy? As a pp said, when your mind is relaxed, and you are on holiday in your examples, you do have headspace to think about more lighthearted, banal things.

I apologise for my ingrained sexism. Maybe I've blurred the line between nerd and man 😃😃

The funny thing about is that you can see his brain ticking over and looking at something and you just know something like this is going to come out. 😃

He’s incredibly observant and interested in everything and how it works and mostly the logics of everything!

I am very good and just making the right noises as if I’m paying full attention!

I also say “are you thinking out loud or do you actually think I can answer that question?” 😂

I think it's the nature of what I would think about, I might wonder about whether someone was going out with her coworker or less kind of "structural" stuff

I love nerdy men. This kind of man would make me feel safe.

I always think about a friend of mine who, when they are facing a queue say at an airport or somewhere, his catchphrase is "choose by the demographic not the length" (of the queue )

So you like a bit of gossip which is fine, our minds wander into different things.

Ok now i need to know which demographic queues i need to join! More information please 🙏

I was thinking the same and I don’t think I meet the definition of nerd although I dare not ask DH over breakfast

I imagine they mean no families no older people just people who will just move along with out faffing the type who have passports at the ready and not a lot of hand luggage to go through scanners!

My DH talks about packing / packing the car a lot.

I almost feel a sense of dread as we approach a holiday, knowing I’ll need to hear about how we won’t have enough space, and maybe we need to buy a bigger car…

… then always insists on carrying everything himself.

Oh that just means he thinks you take too much stuff and if he don’t say that he thinks you would take even more

women tend to take more stuff

My husband does this but his assessment whilst it is ultimately about demographic isnt put as politely! I’ll encourage the use of the word demographic.

I mean where do they go does each bussiness have.their own storage is there shared storage, is there a storage yard ! SO many questions 😀

Lol, I have a photo of our fully packed boot, saved in my favourites, that we are to refer to each time we need to pack up to ensure we get the right bags in the most efficient places. I laugh, but i concede it's helpful at 2am, after a long flight, in the airport car park!
