I used to do that every year because my birthday is the 24th of June. I suspect I was quite an annoying child. I don’t do it every year now…just most years.

Citadelica · Today 12:52

Sort of thing my dh would say. The fucker...

Will he say it this evening 🤔?

My grandad always used to start saying that from 22nd June.

Same as my mother!

Get your ducks in a row @OutOfApricots

FeliciaFancybottom · Today 12:55

I'd be rethinking my relationship if my husband used the C word in June.

BoogieVoogieAllNightLong · Today 12:56

We only just did Christmas, this cannot be!!

HoppityBun · Today 12:58

It seems to come as a surprise to people every year that the days get shorter at the end of June. I attribute it to the move from the countryside to towns and cities. Apparently no one notices that the days start lengthening just before Christmas. The hottest days of our year are in the autumn, not the summer, which has only a few weeks left.

Bet you were popular

Cheesegrapeschutney · Today 13:04

I've only just started to feel properly 'clear' of last Christmas and properly starting to get stuck into 2026 somehow. I definitely need more than 6 months to feel up for the next one.

dizzydizzydizzy · Today 13:05

Nooooo!

Whosthetabbynow · Today 13:05

Yessssss!

TressiliansStone · Today 13:11

Naff. Off.

It has finally got warm enough today for me to contemplate baring my permafrost tootsies to the elements.

(Contemplating, but not yet doing. The socks are still on as I type...)

I will entertain no thoughts of winter in any way, shape or form.

GeorgeMichaelsCat · Today 13:12

I saw a Christmas Market advert on Instagram today.

Gymnopedie · Today 13:12

The day after the longest day (it was always described as that, never the 22nd June) was the day my grandfather went up to see the local farmer to order the Christmas turkey. Every year.

Imdunfer · Today 13:16

A "book now for Christmas" sign appeared in our favourite Italian restaurant two weeks ago.

I want to shun them until December but the spag bol is soooooooo good.

Imdunfer · Today 13:17

Oh and I agree. LTB.

missymousey · Today 13:23

'As far away from Christmas as we can get, you mean dear?'
