How is Ariana Grande allowed to keep going?

She looks like she’s at death’s door with anorexia and yet she’s just kicked off a world tour.

I thought we were living in more enlightened times now and that celebrities’ ill health wouldn’t be enabled like this. If she went to any hospital she’d get admitted for malnutrition.

Unless they don't want to. Ariana seems to be doing well by all accounts. My doctor recently threatened to stop my meds because my BMI fell below some acceptable threshold. What happened to our body our choice? If you can be punished or sectioned for being too thin then every unhealthy overweight person should be subjected to the same. Overeating is also a mental illness.

It’s so weird to come on here to talk about someone being ill with an eating disorder and have to face a barrage of comments about fat people or clearly unwell people not being underweight…some people on here have serious issues

How do you know she's ill? Do you know for sure she is...?

This is an insane line of reasoning. Being very underweight (not just a bit) can kill you very quickly.

being overweight is bad for people in the long term, and the NHS offers support and treatment without inpatient treatment, because they don’t need it.

I don’t know if you know much about anorexia, but it is a really deadly disease. The most deadly mental health disorder, I believe.

You’re also not entitled to any prescription. Maybe your doctor knows something you don’t about your medication and weight. They’re not denying it just for fun.

Or Lena Zavaroni , who was a top level vocalist, even as a child.

Gave me goosebumps that did! Shock What an exquisite talent she really was. I would have loved her to have carried on singing and recording for many more years. We were robbed of a gifted young lady, and she was robbed of her life. Utterly tragic. 😢

(By the way I think that date was a bit off. It was 1981 this performance, not 1970.)

She was only 17 when she sang this. Amazing!

There are clips of her on American TV at 10 years old, she certainly doesn"t look "cool", and the modern mind might find the idea of a child singing songs with adult sentiment a bit odd but the vocals are top drawer, absolutely powerful and amazing.

She looks like an emaciated 10 year old child.

I don't think it's hyperbole to say she looks like some of the images from the concentration camps. It's confronting to see pictures of her. The poor girl needs an intervention.

Medication i've taken for 30 years? I know myself better than anyone. When I was super overweight and depressed when mum died after struggle with dementia. They absolutely should have intervened when I gained 40lbs in. 2.5 months. Not a word. Now that I'm healthy they have an issue??
