She looks like she’s at death’s door with anorexia and yet she’s just kicked off a world tour.

I thought we were living in more enlightened times now and that celebrities’ ill health wouldn’t be enabled like this. If she went to any hospital she’d get admitted for malnutrition.

She looked really good in her earlier music career, its her film career with the Wicked movies that seems to have made her lose weight when she did not need to.

I was quite shocked at how she looked in the second Wicked movie at some points as her ribs were very visible and I thought maybe they would have retouched her to look healthier as the part didn’t require her to be very thin. It must’ve been quite stressful to shoot as they sang live so I assumed she had lost weight from stress, but it is sad to see she isn’t looking healthier now. I think people are also shocked that she is paler than she used to be with much lighter eyebrows, so the contrast of her skin now compared to the fake tan makes her look even more ill

Any news if they want me to cover for her as I'd like to wash my tights (before going on a world tour)?

Sounds like im exactly where you are! Life is so much nicer without being trapped in the claws of anorexia isnt it? I had a baby too. Something I was told would never happen as I'd done too much damage.

These are photos of her on stage in the last few days. What’s scary is that she’s actually gained weight since the Wicked press tours, so whilst she’s still underweight, she’s not as emaciated as she was. She will have trainers and chefs/nutritionists looking after her, but there’s only so much that those people can do if she refuses to eat more.

Poor thing. She reminds me of Lena Zavaroni from when I was growing up - anyone remember her?

She is 33! (In 2 weeks.) 33! You are talking as if someone of 65 is being compared to when they were 29! She is roughly the same age as my nieces and adult children, and they look way healthier and fitter, and look about 23-25. Ariana looks like ill, gaunt, and like she's wasting away. She looks older because of it too.

Oh, and I and many women I know looked BETTER at 33 than they did at 23, so your post makes no sense.

Lena has a remarkable voice, and was a brilliant performer. An incredible talent at such a young age. She succumbed to anorexia which is very sad. I remember Terry Wogan interviewing her (when she was in her 20s,) and he made a comment about how she was a good girl to be eating more and she was getting back to her chunky self. Fucking stupid thing to say. Never EVER comment on anyone's appearance or weight, it's a horrible thing to do. It's very personal. I always liked Terry but that comment floored me when I heard him make it.

I don't think Ariana looks malnourished. She looks underweight (and weird, imo) but not critically emaciated. There's flesh on her arms, legs and face. Not much, but there is.

The picture with the green dress does suggest she has that pronounced hollow between ribs and hip bones, which you see in starvation victims.

Apparently this is her last tour. Maybe she is facing a health problem?

Wow those photos are sad. She looks better with the dark hair, the blonde when she was doing Wicked made her look ill. I don't know how she's got the energy to perform each day.

We are enjoying Olivia Rodrigo new album with The Cure - healthy looking slim. Thinking about it AG is the only current successful young singer who is dangerously thin that I can think of anyway.

Has anyone read Jennette McCurdy’s book? She talks about working with AG. And how Jennette’s mother encouraged her own eating disorder. That whole Disney/Nickelodeon era was pressured and grotesque for the children and young people the TV money machine relied on.

When you have an eating disorder, no one ever says to you 'You are too thin, you must stop'. They just say 'You've lost enough now, don't lose any more'. That's a green flag to continue and you just want to lose a few more lbs. It's like WOAHH I look amazing, everyone has noticed but they're all jealous of my weight loss. You also believe they don't understand your struggle and determination to stay thin.

Yes she is. A couple of the pictures show her pretty much like she is now, but she is thinner now on the whole.

Agree, it's a bit worrying.

I still feel it's a little early to be writing her epitaph based on this. Karen Carpenter died at 32, having been anorexic for 15 years. She was taking 90 laxatives and emetics a day, and abusing thyroid medication.

We don't know what's going on with AG. It looks like something is, but she has time to get well.
