You do realise Elon Musk who owns X has a political agenda OP ? And would like nothing more than to see the UK go into some sort of civil unrest ?
Instead of managing such appalling situations efficiently but calmly.
Any news you get from X will be written in such a way to whip up moral outrage. It is done like that on purpose.

Funnily enough I think the actions of this maniac will whip up moral outrage all on its own, as well it should.

MsJinks · Yesterday 09:35

I cannot believe people are watching this video - Jesus Christ why! The written facts are sufficient and yes, it’s a horrific crime.

Anyway, it’s circulating to encourage unrest. Not because of any respect for the victim or to help any further trial. The only people who should have hold of this are the police.

Also - just because there is a horrific attack - that is being reported to proper news channel standards - there is no need to start shrieking about MSM, gov’t, neighbour’s dog being in favour of migrants attempting beheadings - this is not true - stop being so influenced by X and similar - stop watching horror movies of a poor victim’s last moments - have some respect for them ffs.

Mob justice isn't going to help, either way. Elon Musk is not doing this for our good.

So your issue is that this sort of information is now freely available, not the crimes committed that are being reported on?

Whilst I agree that social media can inflame tensions, wasn’t it twitter under Jack what’s his name before Musk took over that allowed many far left leaning activists like BLM or trans rights to flourish? Which arguably have been just as (if not more violent and destructive) than the ‘far right’ protests?

It’d be a dark time if we decided what information our govt allowed us to view. However I will concede that the video is so graphically violent I wish Musk would do more to add a warning to these types of videos.

Exactly. Some look everywhere else other than the person who committed a barbaric, horrific crime.

Could you maybe say what happened then because the news report describes it as a stabbing and I’m certainly not going to be seeking out a video as I don’t want to watch a video of a violent event.

Attempted beheading.

There, Ive said it

PenelopePinkerton · Yesterday 09:36

MelanzaneParmigiana · Yesterday 09:02

Ha, nice try.
Just stick with the BBC then.

I don’t use X so I guess I’ll never know what happened🤷‍♂️

I dont think civil unrest will help but the problem is those in charge just allow these things to happen, if things dont change, people get angry.

What will Keir Starmer do? I bet my house absolutely nothing

What do you think he should do? What do you think he's not doing?

I've just seen the bystanders video if it. Poor bloke, what a horrific way to die.

How/why would anyone want to stand by and video something like this?

It might have been picked up by CCTV or ring doorbell

EstoyRobandoSuCasa · Yesterday 09:39

5MinuteArgument · Yesterday 09:25

I agree. I no longer trust anything they say. I get my news from a variety of sources which don't include the BBC.

Have you ever thought that the BBC aren’t sharing all the gory details of the victim’s injuries out of respect for the victim’s family?

I know that the people who share videos of horrific attacks (and accidents) give zero thought to the families involved, but they ought to. Instead, they exploit other people’s tragedies for attention.

There, Ive said it

That’s the last thing I want to see when I’m having my breakfast (now). Sorry for the victim. Maybe it should be more of a news story.

PolkaDotPorridge · Yesterday 09:41

I saw the video on bloody facebook. Horrific! That was far more than a stabbing. He was trying to cut his fucking head off. Brave people that attacked him, even then he wasn’t stopping.

GetAFurqingCompass · Yesterday 09:41

Just so you're aware, following that link reveals your insta profile name (which looks like it is your real name).

Monty36 · Yesterday 09:42

But it was okay when there was massive civil unrest in the UK and everyone went wild in support when a ln American career criminal in America died whilst being arrested. In America?

No.

EasternStandard · Yesterday 09:42

It’s not a stabbing as just described on the radio.

MusicMakesItAllBetter · Yesterday 09:42

I disnt think of that.
But you do get them dont you, people who just record crimes especially violent attacks.

What does Musk have to gain by the UK being in civil unrest?
Is it a coherent political strategy, or is it just that violence drives more social media engagement?

Nothing funny about it. And you can be outraged without resorting to violence yourself.

To be fair, I dont think the bbc has respect for anyone

True

CoffeeAndACroissant · Yesterday 09:44

I, for one, am glad we have at least one sensible media organisation in this country that recognises that it has a duty to report on crimes in a manner that would not impede any future trials.

The perpetrator could claim they have not been given an opportunity for a fair trial if too many details of the case are released.

That is why you normally only find out the full details of crimes after sentencing, even though the media usually have it all.

There's no conspiracy here. There are plenty of people with a lack of understanding of our justice system though.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · Yesterday 09:44

TheSmallAssassin · Yesterday 09:24

The facts? Perhaps you are watching a very mentally ill person. Watching a video does not give you facts.

Dear God, how can you try and minimise this.

No, a Woman was filming, and continued to do so before Men stepped in to stop him.

Global civil unrest is what they want
