A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Actually, here's Healy's death stare while Starmer was defending his foot dragging on the dip yesterday.

That look says "twat" 🤣🤣

Healey is very well liked apparently. Not a stirrer.

Talk of it being existential for bollard.

John Healey was probably one of the most capable and grounded of Labour's ministers.

How long do we have to wait for someone to say to Starmer, "In the name of God, go."?

Al Carns has?

Yes he said DIP was not fit for purpose and Starmer had to sort it.

Times incredulous at his boldness as a new minister.

Over 100 Labour MPs already have! The cretin won't go.

Wow!

This is completely unsustainable. Its disgusting that Bollard is clinging on.

Times live feed:

A defence source has described wrangling over the defence investment as “easily the worst thing I’ve ever seen in government”.
Speaking to The Times about the behind the scenes battle that has been brewing between the MoD, Treasury and Number 10 for months, they said: “Anyone can see the lack of political leadership from the PM.
“The Treasury have been refusing to budge, and John Healey was put in an impossible position when Downing Street ordered the launch event to go ahead on Friday.
“No 10 made quite clear, ‘We’re doing this to you’ and that’s when Healey felt he had to go.”

Wow, just catching up with this on my lunch break. Healy finally had enough, as have the rest of us.

They're such unprincipled dicks. No belief in anything, unless it involves using 1984 as a handbook then they're keen as mustard.

Love the word excoriating

When it comes to describing Healey’s letter

Upstartled · Yesterday 14:14

So the next defence secretary will accompany Starmer at the NATO summit at the begining of July. Bollard has to pick a new defence secretary and they will be able to negotiate a better defence investment plan that Healey could but, what will that be? Then they have to figure out how to make up that new spend, get it into a plan...and then presumably present it in three weeks?

All while waiting on the by-election next week at which point every Starmer statement will be a point of differentiation for Burnham, who will have the ear of the backbenchers and the media.

Middlerage · Yesterday 14:24

Ooooh, I’ve put some sparkling wine in the fridge, jic one of the big three falls soon, Reeves can you smell the book deal yet?

and John Healey, good for you for showing a few politicians still have integrity.

Haha at book deal 😬

Getting close

Sarahconnor1 · Yesterday 14:32

Burnham always has been, and always will be a weathercock politician.

Sure he's a better public speaker than Starmer, other than that, i think people will be very disappointed

On the other news. What an absolute shambles. I had little faith in Starmers Labour but I didnt expect it to be so bad, so quickly
