I love a good storm too - my dream is to live in a new york skyscraper and have the rain pelting at the window during a storm 😍😍

The fucking humidity in this shithole is unbearable

It’s interesting to be reminded that people have such varied opinions and preferences when it comes to weather and seasons and it’s a good reminder that the UK is such a great place to live and we get to experiences all the different beautiful seasons that can cater to everyone.

I personally am an autumn person. I love the changing colour of the trees, the mild weather meaning I can be outdoors when it’s not raining yet I can be wrapped up in a jumper.

I also love the spring with all the new life of flowers and animals yet the heat isn’t too intense.

I get you, i love the autumn (and winter) 😍

Love when the trees start to change colour and the leaves pile up on the ground during the rainy school run

Back to school, the routine, slow cooker dinners

I promise that if we get summers of no higher than 23°, I will cease moaning 😄

I must admit I enjoyed the storm we had last night, but I don’t like the huge drop in temperature here, and I put the heating back on last night and this morning.

I love the autumn; it’s my absolute favourite time of year. I dislike spring because it means summer is just around the corner and I get reverse SAD. Also hate it when the clocks go forward.

That would be my dream. In summer I live in fear of the weather forecast.

MadisonAvenue · 04/06/2026 21:03

The temperature has dropped here to around 19° but it’s so horribly humid.

My absolute favourite weather is a sunny and frosty morning. I like the new leaves on trees and flowers blooming aspect of Spring but there’s the nagging thought that the temperature is rising and Summer is on the way.
I dread looking at the forecast.

I have to switch the forecast off in summer as it’s too anxiety inducing. Another tip I have is a small piece of paper covering the temperature reading on my car dashboard as I was finding that triggered my anxiety and dreaded getting out of my air conditioned car when I get to my destination.

PerhapsaSillyQuestion · 06/06/2026 09:42

Is anyone else's worried about this el nino thing being reported ? The ocean is reading a higher temp than usual ?

Move to a Scotland. Summers don’t exist.

Terrified but I’m trying not to think about it.

Same, but i think for the UK it would mean colder wetter winter rather than hotter summers.

MoonlightMemories · 10/06/2026 04:28

I'm very glad the weather is much more reasonable temperature-wise at the moment.... however the amount of rain we've had in the past 4-5 days where I am has been insane....I've been on holiday leave so it's not been an inconvenience to me, but truly it has been so utterly intense at times.

Bit worried now about how much the grass is going to go crazy when it does get warmer again. It's a huge hayfever trigger for me, especially when it's been allowed to.grow very tall before being cut by the council....the pollen it will release when they finally do that is going to be dreadful 😭

TreesandGreen · 10/06/2026 06:38

I can honestly cope with almost all weathers - I actually love rain 🤭 I can cope with hail storms, wild wind, freezing cold, anything... except extreme heat!
I love autumn and winter. It's easy to wrap up in the cold, wear waterproofs in the rain...
So little escape from the heat.
I've been so grateful it's been much cooler the last week or so. I really hope we don't get another heatwave anyway time soon 🙏

Me too. Love this westher. Sadly the heat is coming back to the south but hopefully short lived.

Boo to the heat returning!
Yay to it being short-lived!
Maybe when it comes I'll do a rain dance to encourage the heat to retreat!

I'm a winter lover to be honest. I often think Narnia, before Aslan returned and the snow melted, would be a great location for me (always winter, never Christmas) apart from the white witch of course. I wouldn't want to be governed by the white witch. But, apart from that... ☃️☕❄️
