@countrygirl99 Such a beautiful animal.
I am so sorry.

dontcallmelen · 12/05/2026 09:53

really don’t like the shenanigans going on at No.10 this morning, knee jerk reactions never end well a period of calm & reflection would be much more useful.

countrygirl99 · 12/05/2026 09:54

Thanks everyone. I've owned him for A18 years. He was originally bought for DS2 to ride and he came home this weekend to say goodbye.

BIWI · 12/05/2026 09:55

I'm so sorry @countrygirl99 Flowers

TemperanceWest · 12/05/2026 09:57

Starmer says fuck off, apparently.

As I said yesterday, I take responsibility for these election results and I take responsibility for delivering the change we promised.

The past 48 hours have been destabilising for government and that has a real economic cost for our country and for families.
The Labour party has a process for challenging a leader and that has not been triggered.

The country expects us to get on with governing. That is what I am doing and what we must do as a cabinet.

dontcallmelen · 12/05/2026 09:58

Oh @countrygirl99 im so very sorry awful for you all much lovexx

DuncinToffee · 12/05/2026 09:59

@BestIsWest I don't blame him, that tail they left him with 😂

I'm so sorry @Blossomtoes and @Evenstar , such a cruel disease to deal with.
Thanks for the new thread Duncin , I will be late with tax as hosting family this week but with you all in spirit.
Take care.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/05/2026 10:02

Very sorry to hear that @countrygirl99. 💐

Karistyleaftea · 12/05/2026 10:08

And of course sorry about your news @countrygirl99 .
So sad to say goodbye to a beloved
animal.

MsJinks · 12/05/2026 10:14

So sorry @countrygirl99- what an amazingly handsome horse 💕

cardibach · 12/05/2026 10:15

Thanks for the new thread @DuncinToffee
@BestIsWest is your MP Tonia or are you a different constituency? Surprised at her if it is. She’s normally sound and sensible. Darren Jones was good in interview this morning. He’s a future leader I reckon, but for now standing by the boss. I’ll find a link in a mo if I can. In the meantime he’s some cat tax taken by cat sitter who is also a professional photographer. Makes my crazy ball of fluff seem quite gorgeous.

One of my favourite photos of a daughter’s late cat - amazingly chilled, patient and gorgeous normally - here though she has an expression I wish I could master re the current political shenanigans lol

@cardibach yes, Tonia, agree she’s usually sensible. Very likeable too. I agree re Darren Jones too, I’d like to know more about him.
Beautiful puss.

MsJinks · 12/05/2026 10:20

Just been on fb - my birth cousin has posted a rant re Starmer - sigh - strangely both my birth bro and I are definitely left/socialist principles but we separately grew up in right wing households and didn’t know each other or meet till early 50s .

Can’t delete it’s too awkward - guess we will politely ignore each other’s views then lol. I won’t ever be meeting her - only my birth bro is keen on the meetings - he comes from Oz and she is closer in miles - but so far apart in who we are.

cardibach · 12/05/2026 10:25

Part of the Darren Jones interview with Sky here - I hadn’t heard the end bit when I saw an extract before - wtf? Why wouldn’t the King’s Speech go ahead?
In the one I saw she also pushed for a bit of a gotcha on Jones’ comment he wouldn’t get ahead of any decisions the PM might make about leadership as far ahead as the next election. He just politely shut her down with broken record technique. He’s very good.

I am so sorry about your beautiful horse, @countrygirl99 . The last loving thing we can do for them is so often the hardest.

countrygirl99 · 12/05/2026 09:46

A sad tax from me I'm afraid. My horse is being PTS tomorrow. He couldn't shake off strangles and after 3 months the only options left wouldn't be fair on an elderly horse.

I'm so sorry, @countrygirl99. He’s such a beauty. ❤️

cardibach · 12/05/2026 10:40

It’s the ineptness of the agitators that’s winding me up. Burgon now saying it shouldn’t happen straight away, largely because I think he supports Burnham who couldn’t benefit from a quick contest - incidentally when did the left of the party decide to like Burnham?). They snatched at the election results as a pretext without any plan or forward thinking. Makes the whole party look stupid. I’m so cross.

TemperanceWest · 12/05/2026 10:50

FFS. This is getting boring now. One of you either make a challenge or shut the hell up up. Some sort of halfway house is no good.

If Starmer survives, I hope he sacks Weasel Wes.

DuncinToffee · 12/05/2026 11:02

Now come on Temperance, isn't it great fun to see MP's walking into No10?

Any sign of Larry?

cardibach · 12/05/2026 11:05

Yes, the ballsy move would be to sack all the agitators from government roles and reappoint people who had been loyal. Then see how they react…

DuncinToffee · 12/05/2026 11:06

This could be a real scandal if true

A bit of a reshuffle is needed I reckon. Certainly Streeting and Mahmood. Cooper has disappointed me in general too (I’m not sure if she’s been agitating for Starmer to go, seems to be conflicting reports). Lisa Nandy needs replacing.

BestIsWest · 12/05/2026 11:07

Wow @DuncinToffee!
