I still have hope that the decent One Nation Tories will when push comes to shove. The Tories in Worcestershire, for example?

^This 💯. That was encouraging to see. But Badenoch certainly showed her true colours with her response to their principled action.

Talking of Reform!
Farage says £5m gift a reward for Brexit campaigning https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c072prlxlddo

£5 million for making the country poorer by every measure.

£5 million for Brexit paid 9 years after the vote.

littledrummergirl · 14/05/2026 21:34

£5m which he seems to have spent on housing.
I hope he paid the correct stamp duty.

DuncinToffee · 14/05/2026 21:35

As James O'Brien puts it

Why exactly would a Thailand-based economic migrant secretly give Nigel Farage £5 million as a 'reward' for delivering Brexit?

You know what just popped into my head as truly scary - this is getting to Trump type level porkies - blatantly false but who cares.

Starmer has appointed James Murray as the new Health Secretary

They'll just start again on the next leader, and the next. Labour need to be strong, and show solidarity and confidence in the leadership and in the plans.

They are doing the opposite right now and handing the right the battleground on a plate. It's ridiculous.

I agree.

Gabrieltomyleft · 15/05/2026 04:43

Many of us on the right have been warning you of the perils of a Labour government, but you just wouldn’t listen.

You kept talking about Labour’s massive majority, that Starmer was not going anywhere, and that there was zero chance of an early GE.

Well, you are listening now, aren’t you?

Efacsen · 15/05/2026 06:42

@DuncinToffee this is the story I couldn't find before of how/why the Guardian has 'fallen out' with the LP

It would all be ancient history now were it not that Josh Simons is the same MP giving up his seat for Andy Burnham

That's hilarious! Thanks for the laugh.

Nobody could really believe that after the "perils" of the last 14 years of Tory, surely?

Especially with the growth figures yesterday.

Jeez - you’d rather we had continued with the Tories! That was perilous.

Thanks for dropping by - you might notice now the thread is not full of ragingly sycophantic Labour folk but able to discuss the good, the bad and the other stuff.

I cannot see this as perilous in the same way Kemi/Farage would be to the country, or the 14 years of Tories were at all tbh - I doubt many can anywhere, not just here.

But as a thanks for dropping in I can tell you that there’s a lovely thread for you to find like minded right wing folk to join - Labour Isn’t Working.

Even if Labour do change PM, you lot changed 5 inside 8 years.....

You also committed the most grave of policies..... deliberately ran down the UKs defences.

Tories did this despite annexation of Crimea in 2014, Salisbury, invasion of Ukraine... went into the last GE promising to cut troop numbers even further..... Badenoch was in Government for 5 years.

Sit on the hands, guys.

Notonthestairs · 15/05/2026 07:26

I think if you have to create a new username at 4am you might just be losing your way.

But advice from the same pricks that brought us Brexit really isn't necessary.

Especially when it's becoming clear that some of those pricks were bought for Brexit. One admitted it, yesterday.

And, now, coffee.

I love the idea that an archangel is to the left of this poster... clearly the right isn't where angels dwell.

Lalgarh · 15/05/2026 08:19

Some Starmerites still exist. Is this list of achievements real? You'd never know it from the doom and gloom

TemperanceWest · 15/05/2026 08:20

Morning all.

A few musings from me.

Pickachew was deleted yesterday for a slightly sardonic misspelling of Badenoch's name ( not the one using Powell's first name). I was deleted for telling off a poster who was being very insensitive. MNHQ said it was a "mild personal attack" but deleted anyway.

Yet MNHQ allow all sorts of smears against female Labour politicians, especially Rayner. Smears about her abandoning her disabled son. No problem. Smears about Starmer and Savile and rent boys? Also OK.

Threads about benefit bashing and migrant bashing are allowed to stand. The Brighton one was foul. MNHQ seems to not have a handle on spotting very obvious previously banned posters who are deliberately unpleasant.

I see lots of other posters saying the same sort of thing and decent people are starting to drift off. I guess it's all about the £££ and the more of a cesspit the better. It is very sad.

(I am sure the lurkers will mock me for this!)

I think Gabriel's lot are actually Reform to be fair.

PickAChew · 15/05/2026 08:26

And we have the absurdity of Justine using AI to write posts in response to our collective objection to images of nude teens in a thread promoting her campaign to get teens off their phones.

Is that what buyers want?
